Go to an art museum. Seeing these works hanging on a wall, or standing on a pedestal, is a LOT different than looking at pictures of them online or in a book. You won't believe the way the colors "pop" in an oil painting, and how much more you can appreciate the artist's techniques and vision, and their use of light.

I used to go all the time...

I loved standing there looking at those paintings.... great great times!

Def appreciate it more... I agree! :)
 
depends - some people have not feeling whatsoever as to what is art and what isn't - thus anything that is painted (sculpted) seems to be beautiful to them..

Go to a Master of Fine Arts graduation and you will know what I am saying...most are bizarre and I could do in a day

Oh thats nice! I love people that can draw, Paint, Sculpt.. very interesting and having that personal touch on it makes every Art special..
