Hey All ;) !!!

Well I have been gone for a while but I dont worry I have actually been training hard for the past two weeks prepping myself mentally and trying so desperately to back into competition shape!!! ;) ... Has not been easy with work and all but I figured one of the reason's I did so well with my dieting and excercising last season was due to my friends at the gym and those here on the board so ladies I am back and with a new goal!!!.. to get leaner and stronger!!..

Here is tomorrow's regime:

Wake: 1 liter of water w/ 1 Arsenal-X
Cardio: 60 mins on treadmill - mixed w/ running, walking on incline etc.. intervals..

Meal 1: Post work out shake: 2 scoops of maximum protein & 1/2 cup of berries & 1 tsp almond butter

Meal 2: 5 white 1 yolk & 1/4 cup of oatmeal

Speed Stack before weight training..

Train: Chest & Abs w/ 20-30 min cardio session

Meal 3: Post work out shake 2 scoops of p.p. w/ 1/2 cup of straw & blue berries & 1 tsp of Almond butter

Meal 4: 4 oz grilled chick w/ hot sauce ( I LOVE HOT SAUCE) :p & Dash 1 oz. sweet potato & 1 cup of asparagus & 1 tsp almond butter

Meal 5: same as 4

Meal 6: 6 oz of tilapia

SLEEP
Well here it is!!!.. I have been eating clean for the past 2 weeks with 1 cheat day out of the week but I am afraid its time to take out the cheat day!!! :worried:

Besides the day I do eat a cheat meal I feel sick and disgusting so I dont think I need them anymore.. the clean eating has kicked in..

I also want to wish all my fellow female competitors lots of luck and to be strong.. the beginning is always the worst part...trust me I know, now get in the gym and haul some serious ass!!!!! ;)

Yay! She's back! When's your target competition date(s)? And just curious - how do your meals work for you mixing your fats & carbs? I think we have different body types - not sure if that means anything, but I've generally kept my carbs & fats seperated in different meals.

Hi Sassy!!! It is great to be back!!.. And as you can see I currently am suffering from insomnia.. cant seem to get in my groove of going to bed early.. :worried:

In reference to the diet I also use to keep my fats and carbs separate. I hired a national level trainer this year and he gave me a basic diet to follow for now which gives me a high amount of protein followed by a moderate amount of carbs and fats. He insisted that I have a small amout of fats in my diet w/ every meal for now and I believe he is doing this b/c eventually he will have me cycle the carbs first and when I hit a plateau most likely go on and cycle the fats. My training has also changed, its more fast pace and explosive, tons of super sets and little rest time, I basically deplete my storages in less than 1 hour (well atleast for now until my body adjusts). Tomorrow I am training with him and I believe we are going to sit down and evaluate the nutrition I believe I may start cycling carbs the beginning of next week..

Competition dates..hhmm.. well I am definitely competing in a few shows in July which puts me out about 20 weeks but give me plenty of time to mess around and try new things with the diet and training.. I am in it for the long haul this year!!.. However if I feel ready and comfortable by May I will do an all natural show then..that puts me out about 16 weeks for that one.. However I need to see my progress then. Anyhow, I gotta try to get some sleep so I can wake up and do cardio first thing... oh Joy!!!...lol :verygood:

So are you competing this year?? How is the prepping for figure coming along??.. Come on over to the other side sister!! ;)

Still pursuing figure because I just ain't gonna add the extra 20 lbs to compete at the size of people like Mimi Jabalee (got her pro card at the NPC nationals in Nov). Right now I'm just trying to lean down to whatever I can for the Arnold Classic weekend (4 weeks from today :worried: ) After that -- gonna depend on how my work schedule comes out. I also need to check the local shows & regional shows from April - Aug. Gotta do it - I bought all the damn suits & jewelry shit!

I'll be interested to see how the fat cyclign goes - don't have much experience in that & havent' heard much about it in my contest prep. I guess when I cycle carbs I replace the decreased carb calories w/ the same cals in fats. Does that count???

That was how I use to cycle my carbs... I increased fats.. However if you fat cycle depleteing fats out of your diet for 2 or 3 days its a dramatic drop in daily caloric intake.. makes sense if you think about it.. carbs & proteins yield only 4 Kila calories while fats yield a whopping 9 kila calories!!.. so imagine taking fats out for a couple of days.. I must say you feel it by the 3 rd day..thats when you add the fats back in...I will let you know how it goes I havent started cycling anything yet.. just taking in all necessary fats, carbs & proteins for now until I plateau and then most likely I will change it up!!!

I cant wait to see your figure pics.. I think you have a perfect physique for figure!!!. ;) Wow 4 weeks!!! :worried: .. My goodness!!!.. Good Luck!!!

Made a few changes to today's menu and training schedule...I woke up late.. 11am :rolleyes: ... so I willl not get all 6 meals in, only 5..

It was a great day today.. getting stronger and building up the endurance!!.. Cant wait to shed off some fat!! ;)

Going to the movies w/ my little sister :qt: going to have to sneak my meals into the theatre..lol.. :evil:

Sunday:Woke up @ 10am
2 glasses of water w/ 1 Arsenal-X
Morning Cardio: 5 miles in 55 mins w/ occasional intervals on an incline
calories burned: 800 calories

No weight training

Meal 1: post work out shake & 1tsp almond butter
Meal 2: 1/4 cup of oats w/ 6 whites & 1 yolk
Meal 3: 4 oz of chick w/ 1 cup of asparagus & 1/4 yam & 1 tsp almond butter
Meal 4: same as 3
Meal 5: Grilled chick in mesculun salad & 2 tblspns of balsamic vngr & oil

Monday: Woke @ 8:30 am
2 glasses of water w/ 1 arsenal-x
Morning cardio: 30 mins on eliptical & 20 mins on treadmill
calories burned: 600 calories burned

meal: post work out shake & 1 tsp almond butter
meal 2: 4 oz chick w/ 1 cup of broccoli rabe & 1/4 yam & 1 tsp almond butter
Meal 3: 6 whites 1 yolk & 1/4 oatmeal
Meal 4: same as 2
Meal 5: 1 scoop pp w/ 8 oz of water, 4 oz. salmon & 1/2 broccoli rabe

No weights today.. got a massage today and was advised not to train for the next 24 hours..

Tomorrow.. its down to business in the weight room ;)

5:30pm: weight train back & shoulders 1 hour & 20 mins on treadmill
7:30pm meal 5: 1.5 scoop pp in shake no fruit, 1/3 cup of oatmeal w/ 1/2 scoop of pp, 1 whole wheat rice cake w/ 1 tsp of sf jelly & 1 tbspn of NO Salt cottage cheese
10pm: 4 oz salmon

Will be away on business for the next 3 days, have my meals all packed and ready and checked that there was a gym at the hotel.. ;)

Back from Philly!!!!

Brought all my meals with me and ate clean the whole time there ;)

Wed: 1 hour cardio trained Legs and left for Philly the same day
Thurs: Woke up at 5:30 am and did my morning cardio in the hotel gym for 1 hour however I was unable to get back into the gym to train biceps & triceps as planned..
Fri: woke up 5:45 and completed a 40 min cardio session was so exhausted from the long day of meetings and running around that I took another off day from training....came home the same night!!

Sat: 1 hour cardio: 5 miles on treadmill
meal1: post work out shake
trained: biceps and triceps & lower abs finished w/ 15 min cardio session
meal 2: 5 whites 1 whole & 1/3 cup of oatmeal
meal 3: 4 oz grilled chick w/ 1/4 yam & 1 cup of broccoli
meal 4: same as 3
meal 5: shake
meal 6: i cheated a little and gave into 10 pcs of frosted mini wheats :p ...lol..didnt feel too bad since I ate clean all week

Sun: Woke up to a sh*t load of snow !!
Meal 1: 5 whites 1 whole & 1/3 cup of oatmeal

went out side and shoveled my drive way and dug out my car.. was out there for 2 hours... Made sure I squeezed all the muscles with every heep of snow ;) ...

meal 2: shake

meal 3: grilled chick salad w/ 4 oz yam
meal 4: chick soup w/ string bean salad :p
meal 5: ground beef w/ string bean salad :p
meal 6: same as meal 5

Going to bed early tonight to get a fresh start on the week!!!.. Need to keep dropping... the morning cardio is finally kicking in!!! :verygood:

My upper body is good, but its the stubborn off season fat that I put on all located in the lower body :evil:

Mesculun salad..hmmm how can I put it...ever seen those salads that look like a bunch of leaves??..lol.. kind of like a tri color salad... lol..

** Right now I think the thermorexin is working with the hunger b/c I dont feel hungry, but rather my stomach is bothering me and feeling a bit yucky :worried:

Okay real quick review of the last two days...

Yesterday: 1 hour cardio in the morning on empty stomach.

Clean eats all day.. however very shitty shitty chest workout..

today: OFF DAY.. COMPLETELY NOT EVEN CARDIO :worried:

Clean eats all day:

meal 1: egg white omlette w/ veggies & 1 slice of rye bread w/ sf jelly
2 thermorexins & 2 Cardio Breezes

**Cleaned out my work's storage unit so I moved around alot of heavy boxes...1 hour workout kind of... ;)

meal 2: Grilled chick salad w/ ff rasp. ving w/ 2 thermorexin

meal 3: 1tbspn almond butter w/ protein shake

meal 4: 1 slice of wheat bread w/ 3 slices of turkey bacon & 2 thermorexin :p weird combo but tasty..

meal 5: chick & broccoli w/ soy sauce . holy bloatedness :worried:

Done eating for today.. I feel bloated from the soy sauce :rolleyes:

Okay all... tomorrow will be cardio and then a fast pace leg workout :verygood:

Down 6 lbs from 3 weeks ago so losing 2lbs a week so far.. hopefully I would have lost another 2lbs by this weekend.. fingers are crossed.

Just flew back in from Colorado... I trained all 4 days I was there and ate clena :qt: ... I packed my grilled chicken, steamed veggies, and yams in my cooler and was able to get a refigerator in my room...

The gym at the hotel was decent, but I had to improvise alot :rolleyes:

Anyhow, here is the game plan for today:

Woke today @ 12:30pm
1pm meal one: 4 whites, 1 yolk, 1/3 cup of oatmeal
3:30pm meal two: 4 oz grilled chick w/ 4 oz yam & 1 tsp almond butter :p
**Currently checking emails and catching up on paper work**
5:30pm meal three: same as meal two
6:15pm: 1 hour cardio & chest & abs
8pm: post work out shake 2 scoops of pp & 1 cup of straw & blueberries

Feeling great have lost 10 lbs in the past 4 weeks ;) ...

Congrats on both of these accomplishments!! ;) Traveling and staying on a program can be a very challenging thing - great job. :qt:

Thanks Ice Princess & Thanks Sassy.. and guess what I forgot to mention that one of my colleagues was a competing body builder. I found that very interesting, however she stopped competing like 3 or 4 years ago, she still looks great, very lean, I told her she should consider figure, she would probably need to diet for only 4 weeks b/c of how lean she is... how cool is that??

Anyhow, this morning I was exhausted and did not execute cardio on an empty stomach... rather I ate then did 35 mins of cardio and then trained chest... feeling shitty and tired today, I think the traveling caught up to me :worried:

I am going to my cousin's house tonight b/c tomorrow is his little girl's 1st b-day :qt: ... gotta go.. need to buy a gift and pack my meals :p

5:30pm: back/shoulders and abs

March 1st:

Wake 5:45am: Was getting ready to go to the gym but too exhausted so I decided to go back to sleep.. didnt wake up again until 10 am :worried: .. I guess the body really needed the recovery..

anyhow here we go:

10:15pm: 2 Thermos & 2 Cardio Breezes
10:30am: meal 1: 5 whites 1 yolk, 1/3 cup of oats
1:30pm meal 2: large grilled chick salad w/ rasp. ving.
4:00pm: 30 mins cardio then weight train chest & abs then finished w/ 30 mins of cardio
6:00pm: Post work out shake
8:30 pm: 1 tsp almond butter 4 oz salmon and 1 cup of escarole :p
10pm: SLEEP...(hopefully I wont wake up in the middle of the night hungry but for some reason I doubt that).. :worried:

snack 10:30: I gutted out a wheat bagel and ate it... I figured since I am suppose to carb up today... what the hell... it was gooooooooodd :p
meal 3 @ 1pm: grilled chick w/ 1 cup of broccoli & some hot sauce
meal 4 3 @ pm: 1/2 cup of cottage cheese w/ 1 scoop of pp
Weight Training Session: LEGS... aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh.. I can not walk.. lol
meal 5 @ 7pm: post work out shake w/ 1 cup of japanese seasweed salad.. (Holy Sodium.. now I will blow up like a balloon tomorrow).. . :worried:
meal 6: 3 oz avocado w/ 4 oz salmon & 5 oz sweet potato
*** I over ate today and carbed up completely which means I will have to decarb again tomorrow... **** I was starving all day.. dont know what happened but I listened to my body, hope I did the right thing.. .

Wake @ 10:30am.. skipped out on morning cardio, my leg workout yesterday was soooooooo intense that other parts of my body were feeling sore.. (like my back,shoulders and triceps... wTf???)... :rolleyes:

Meal 1: 2 (Thermorexins) 1/2 cup of granola (totally shouldnt have but its Saturday :p ) 4 whites, 1 yolk

meal 2: chick & avocado

**decided to go to the gym around 2:30pm and did 40 mins on eliptical and burned about 420 calories then I did some bull sh*t ab work**

meal 3: post work out shake only 1.5 scoops of pp w/ straw & bb

meal 4: 4 oz chick w/ 3 oz of avocado.. :p

meal 5:????? Going out tonight with the girls so will have to pick up a grilled chick salad or something @ dinner ;)

By the way after yesterday's overeating... the scale still didnt budge... ;) thank goodnesssssssssssssssssss

Okay here is the deal... I fell off the wagon, I got sick on Wednesday night and trained like a maniac and well guess what happened, I woke up barely able to move my legs, my sinus all congested and a very very heavy period :worried: ... so I ate all day Thursday and today and slept my ass off... I am bloated as hell and can not fit into any of my jeans :worried: I am hoping this is all menstrual related..

Anyhow, I feel a lot better after eating and sleeping all day... but I look like shit... :worried: I plan to go back into the gym tomorrow... Cant wait, I really want to tear up those weights... ;)

Que & CK: Feeling a lot better, still a little congested just loading up on advil sinus and drinking plenty of water mixed with "airborne" the stuff tastes like shit but works wonders!!!!

Okay all I know i havent posted in a while but I began training agin on Saturday and eating clean however the below menu was for today so here it goes:

March 22nd

Wake: 7 am 2 cardio breezes
7:30am: 1 hour of cardio walking & running on incline: 650 calories burned
9am: 2 scoops pp & 1/3 cup of oatmeal
10am: 5 whites & 1/4 cup of oatmeal with fiber one cereal sprinkled on top :p
1:30pm: Grilled chick salad w/ balsamic vingr & oil
4pm: 4 oz chick, 4 oz yam 3 oz avocado & 1/2 cup of broccoli
5pm: back & shoulders
6pm: post workout shake
8pm: 1 cup of ff cottage cheese
10pm: 4 oz of tilapia
11pm: Sleep...

I am exhausted all, I hope i have time to post tomorrow it is going to be a long day...

Wow one hour of cardio, take it easy if you are still not feeling up to par! I have a hard time getting 30 minutes.

Havent posted any recent pics.... but I am on schedule and happy with the progress... really happy about the strength I have gained and the stamina I am building again w/ my running..

Okay guys here it is... I AM SICK!!!! and on ANTIOBIOTICS!!!!

I went away on business to Texas (which is suppose to be my last trip until after my shows) anyhow, i trained hard, ate clean (didnt eat enough) and didnt get enough sleep... well the result--> Influenza!!!! I came home w/ 103 fever which didnt break until after 3 DAYS!!!!!... I am on 2 different antibiotics and off my pre comp diet, however my trainer said not to stress b/c i am so far out..... I am just getting a lot of sleep and have increased my calorie intake... I cant breathe welll b/c I am still congested. I am eager to get back into the gym and continue with the progress.....

Pray that I get well soon all... anyhow, I am already tired and I need to get some more rest.. just wanted to give you all an update, atleast I got sick now and not 3 weeks out from my show :worried:

Hope to be up and running soon!!!!

I need those feel good vibes badly!!! I thought by now I would have shaken this whole influenza off but it looks like it will take longer... I am dreaming about the gym... I was making such great progress but my trainer said I must not stress, I need to just get better and put this behind me.

I will keep you guys posted on my progress.. .but these antibiotics are a drag!!!!!!

Okay here it is... I look like pure crap.... I started eating too many carbs and added a few cheats.... dont know why I did it... I still have 4 days left of antibiotics... I feel a lot better ( I definitely got my appetite back)..I am going to go back to the gym tomorrow but only light cardio and light very light extremely light full body workout with light weights.. you know like circuit training.... I ate everything I wanted to today and I feel like pure garbage... tomorrow I am back on pre comp dieting...

Out of curiousity does anyone know whether or not products like cardio breeze or thermorexin would have a reaction while on antibiotics???

Has anyone taken these supplements while on antibiotics??? I have not mixed these yet, but I have been contemplating it... :rolleyes: feedback would be greatly appreciated...

Good to see you're feeling better! :) I wouldn't think your CB or TREX would effect the antibiotic. If it were me, I'd still take them.

However, if you TAN - drop your time down in the tanning bed or you'll burn.

So, how'd the gym go?

I am thinking that your body needed the carbs if you were craving them. I know after I eat to many carbs I look prego again.

Don't look back!!!!! just look forward and know how you felt after you ate and take note of what you ate that made you feel like crap.

Thanks for the feedback!!!... I went to the gym yesterday and completed 60 mins of cardio in the morning and then went back and trained biceps only... I tried going light but I was unable to contain myself.. :rolleyes: ... I got tired and depleted real quick and my strength is down but I guess I must be patient...

Thanks for posting... oh yeah I took my thermorexin today and I feel fine... back on supplements... thank god!!!!

CK you can add another 500 calories to that b/c i went to aunt's house after my 5 mile walk/job and ate 2 pcs of chick breast and 3 cups of salad and a bowl of fruit :p :p :p

luckily I didnt eat that all at once... but it was great BBQ...(unfortunately for me NO BBQ sauce :worried: )...

LOL.... and this me on a low carb day having trouble with cardio.. you should see what I can pump out on high day... ;) Usually run 5 miles in 45 mins and can burn up to 800 calories... :evil: ... I was disappointed w/ burning only 450 :rolleyes: ....

Off day today.. no cardio or weight training.. sorry I didnt have time to post yesterday or today will update you guys tomorrow!!!!

I love how most of you keep a log with daily caloric and macronutirent totals. That makes it so easy to look back on and adjust when something isn't working. I never took the time to do that and I may just due to reading all of your logs. All I ever logged was weights.

I am always impressed when I come over here.

okay real quick so far:

wake: 7:30am (2 cardio breezes)

8am: Cardio: Crazy crazy cardio session 20 mins walking on 10% incline @ 4.2spd then 20 mins running switching between flat ground & 5% incline (avg spd 5.5-6.5), then I spent the last 20 mins running all out for 2 mins and then walking at a 10% incline for another 2 mins as recovery at a very slow speed... Holy CRAP!!! ( I read about this in oxygen magazine and thought I would give it try... its awesome!!!) anyhow here is what I got
60 mins cardio
5.0 miles
850 calories burned ( I EARNED MY CARB UP DAY :dance2: :dance2: )

** Oh yeah I had such a great pump that I did another 20 mins of ab work*

meal 1 @ 10am: post shake 2 scoops of pp w/ 1/2 cup of berries & 1/3 cup of oatmeal & 1 tsbspn of glutamine :p

Was suppose to weight train today and take off tomorrow but I will switch since I was extremely tired from yesterdays workout... ;)

wake: 10am - 2 cardio breezes & 1 liter of water & 1 cup of coffee :evil:

10:45am: 45mins cardio: mix of walking on incline and 2 min sprints followed by a 2 min recovery burned: 650 calories

12:00pm meal 1: 1.5 scoop of p.p w/ 1 cup of berries & 1/3 cup of oatmeal

1:45: 30 min power nap ;)

2:45: Trained chest

3:30pm: 4 whites & 1/3 cup of oatmeal & 1 tbspn of almond butter

5:30pm: 6 oz grilled chick w/ 1 cup of broccoli

7:30: 2 scoop of pp w/ 1/2 cup of berries & 1 tbspn of almond butter :p

10:00pm: Tilapia

Wake: 10:30am- 2 cardio breezes and YES on abs and legs (ran out of YES hope shipment comes soon from anafit)

11:00am: 5.3 mile resevoir trail (my left shin was killing me so it was mix of running, jogging, sprints & walking)... interval training???


11:50am: done w/ trail- 2 glucorells

12:00pm: Recovery shake 1 cup of berried & 1.5 scoop of pp & 1/3 cup of oatmeal w/ splenda & 2 whites

2:30pm: 4 whites & 1/4 cup of oatmeal & 15 almonds :p

4:30pm: 6 oz of tilapia w/ 1 cup of mixed veggies

6:30pm: same as above

8:30pm: 8 oz of tilapia :p

10pm: 1.5 scoop of pp w/ 1 tbspn of anpb :p

(off day from the weights today)... lots of paper work...

(she told me before she told her mom)... that is how close we are, like sisters!!!! Very psyched... forgot to mention that in my post... ;)
