Is XBOX 360 worth the money without a giantastic flat panel uber-cool plasma television?

I want to get it but if it aint worth nuthin without that big ol TV then I will be forced to purchase said TV.

You need an HDTV to fully enjoy the new Xbox 360 (and PS3) graphics.

Yeah I know I saw that. I have an insider at the Home Depot closest to me that said they had 8 and that 6 were already spoken for by employee's relatives, that and there was a line the night before to get the last two.
