Is VAR liver toxic and does it affect lipid profile?

Every drug will affect blood work just to different degrees, and yes Anavar is taxing on the liver. However, it is definitely mild on both. I have used the stuff for years with excellent results, and I am one who will only stick with low side effect, low toxicity cycles. You should take 0.250mg per pound of your bodyweight each day, and split the dosage in half taking every 12 hours. For an 8 week cycle you will be fine, I've taken for up to 12.

you may see a slight rise in LDL but the real killer is what it will do to your HDL. After 2 weeks @ 30mg PD my HDL went from 82 down to 26! That is bad news. I was taking enough cholesterol supps so that my LDL did not rise too much but with an HDL of 26 my ratio was still not so good. Keep in mind this is an AA17 compound and it does carry with it some negative sides. Lipid and liver values are gonna take a hit, even with var

What supplements do you take to help out with the cholosterol levels?
I am planning on doing a short anavar cycle here in a month.

Yes Bilter, how the hell did you get your HDL to 82? That's freakishly high, in a good way. My sister has a natural HDL of 70 which is incredible in and of itself. Anything in the 40-50 range is considered good, 60+ is actually protective of the heart and arteries almost irregardless of your LDL, so how did you get yours so high?

use polioscanol, fish oil/flax oil, and tylers or liv52 and you would be fine doing var for as long as your wallet can take it.

btw my total cholesterol last i check was 206.....
so high because my HDL was 89!
i was off cycle and not on any supps, but i did use polios. and fish oil during the last cycle which was probably 3 months before the test.

....

That is solid advice.

I take every day (even when not on cycle) 3.6mg of flax, 3.6mg of fish oil, at least one serving of fish, 1 serving of leafy green veggies to keep my cholesterol levels in check. (I recently got some polioscanol and I am working that in at 20mg ED). I also hear niacin works well but I do not take it as an additional supplement because it is harsh on the liver in the dosages you will need to see an improvement in LDL/HDL levels.

Managing cholesterol levels is a long term process. Dumping tons of supps in your system during a cycle will not help you out 100%. It can takes weeks and sometimes months to fix your cholesterol levels. Diet and supps work.

Also, definitely get some Liver protectants while taking orals - this is a MUST. NOW & AF's Tyler's are good (I recommend Tylers)

I'm afraid (yet thankful) its all genetics. I had a pre cycle blood test done without taking any supps to influence cholesterol levels. Even as a child (I'm 40 now) I would get total cholesterol tests done & then theyd make me do a fasting test because TC always came in at 210-215. All because my HDL is so high. I have found anavar & winny to be particulary hard on cholesterol levels though.

Besides the fish / flax oil & policonsonol I also take 20mg PD of nolva (yes it does help with lipid profiles) Green tea (cuase its cheap and some stidies suggest a benefit) and no flush niacin. I have recently read a study though that suggests that the no flush does not have a pronounced effect on blood lipids. You can eliminate / control the flushing effect of regular niacin by taking 1 aspirin 1 hour before taking the niacin. Keep in mind though that taking niacin at doses that help with cholesterol does put an additional load on your liver so milk thistle, tylers etc are a must.
