I don't think so. The engineering doesn't seem like it would work.

that really seems crazy... I just showed it to my engineer and he calls bullshit.

of course not. water is perpendicular to gravity. the only way you can have one body of water over another like that is if you have a lock (think marinas where water in and out of it is equilibrated within a small space using a couple of gates) and there isnt one there...also, take a look at the water marks on the left under the bridge.

photoshop it is

actually just thought about it and its possible in some types of terrain...not probable but possible...still think its photoshop tho

make up your gawd damn mind dammit

freaking aussies ;)

It is the Mittelland and Elbe-Havel Canal Link across the River Elbe at Magdeburg, Germany.

It is very real.

Ask Pimp-toca if he is familiar with it.

you shup! :D at first i thought "you cant do it without a lock" but if you have each body of water at a different height in the first place (and i suppose redirect it or something) then its doable...but youd think that it would be easier to just have a crossing like any other intersection

An elevated canal seems like a ridiculous concept, but those bridge pilings appear to be heavy enough for the task, certainly they're bigger than they'd need to be if the bridge was just a roadway.

Helloooooooooo !!!!

what's so hard about engineering that?

no different than the log flume at great adventure.

not so hard for the engineering part... hell, i could whip up some stats right now on the structure etc and the weak/strong pts... my thing is why? you can't run much thur it because of the deepness of the canal

We seriously gotta find something better for those damn engineers to do with their time. They get paid for this kinda crap?
