since the early 90's affirmative action in admissions to UT law school has been banned. Since then, black admissions has declined to the point where its almost non-existent. Now, here in Austin, minorities are about to get the decision overturned. They took the case to the supreme court. They were talking about how, some of the classes with 100 or so people do not have one black in them. uhhhhhhhh, SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU HAVE THE GRADES, YOU WILL GET IN, WHY SHOULD WE DISCRIMINATE AGAINST ALL THE WHITE APPLICANTS!!!!!!
You need a 3.6 gpa atleast to get into this school, I sure as hell can't get in so I'm applying to another school that fits my GPA, I only wish everyone would do that instead of bitching.
I also heard that the QUOTA SYSTEM IN LAW SCHOOL ADMISSIONS IS USED IN 47 STATES. So for all of you who ask what free stuff blacks get?? how about law school admissions.
How is this not reverse discrimination? Its so discouraging knowing that people who are underqualified will be taking high paying jobs. Sometimes I wish I was black
