Is this correct for average volume training ?

Volume training as I have done it is like this:

i.e. Chest
Flat Bench 5x5
Incline bench 5x8
Flat DB press 5x10
Incline flye 5x 10
Cable Crossover 5 x12

All 25 sets to failure. That is volume training.

No I don't beleive you train to failure using volume training, that is the idea of it.

Also if you train to failure on the first set with say 315 lbs for flat bench, then you are not going to get 4 sets of 8 reps with the same weight.

Can anyone clear this up please ?

What is the purpose of your training? Is it to gain mass, or are will you be entering an endurance contest? The "more is better" way of thinking does not necessarily apply.

Looks more like volume over-training

Yep, makes german volume training look like training for sissies.

Was this original question even serious? All he entered in was a dot...
