Is there a way to get someone's SS#?

I personally depise SSN being used for everything these days. It was designed for retirement purpsoes, and the entire corporate america landscape decided to adopt it for their own purposes. The SSN should get royalties from businesses across the US.
There are ways to get it. But it's kinda tought noawdays, due to major rampant identity and credit card theft -- they're pretty stickler on giving it out. None of the credit agencies will do it, and the SSA sure as heck won't do it.
You'll probqably have to hire a P.I. or some website to give it a shot (although i think most of those sites are scams).

I still don't get it... why do you need anything other than information you can legally obtain and use to take to a judge to nail him for child support? If you use his ss# for anything without his permission, or steal it fradulantly you are going to the federal pen, and he will probably sue you for what little money you have, while you are in prison. This is the most assinign thing I have ever heard. Getting revenge on an ex is one thing, but doing something that will give this person an advantage and only get you fucked in the ass (such as anything involving someone else's ss#...my sister's ex husband tried this shit and she got 18 counts of a federal felony pressed on his ass and sued the hell out of him, and used it as additional leverage to help revoke his parental rights) is just rediculously stupid. Why is everyone giving advice on this? Unless you people actually do want to get ride of Werd.... wait...nevermind I see everyone on the thread's plan... you guys are fucking dicks.

LOL BBF darlin' I have not now nor have I EVER committed any crime worse than perhaps parking overtime at a parking meter. heheheheheheee And for that I paid dearly! Now I ALWAYS have spare change. 
I was only asking if there was a simple way of obtaining my ex's SS# as the childsupport enforcement office asked if I had record of it. For heaven's sake - I was legally married to that loser for over a decade. Dont ya think that perhaps in that time we filed at least one JOINT income tax return? I just called our accountant and asked for a duplicate copy of the last return we filed JOINTLY. Simple-shmimple... done deal.
I am not conspiring to do anything illegal. Not supporting several small children IS illegal and the motherfucker isn't going to get away with it. He has already cost our kids OVER 165K... I wonder what tune he will be singing when childsupport comes after his ass for lying on his income? I hate to see what the IRS will say about not only a deadbeat motherfucker but an income tax evader as well.
About buying my kids coats.
I make 7$ p/hr working parttime. My rent is close to 1K per month. The answer is NO, I can NOT afford to buy my kid a coat at this time as I paid my childsupport UP FRONT last year. I also gave up my half of a lucrative business and LIFETIME alimony - all of which I was legally entitled to as I trusted that loser motherfucker to care for our kids. Luckily, I have family that will help out as they have from the beginning of this nightmare. They were there in the beginning, have supported us throughout and will continue to help out any way they can.
When I danced to support us, I was hung out to dry for being a whore.
Now that I have a "legit job" I can't support us, but now I should be afraid of going to jail because I am furnishing a government agency with my ex's social security number? PS - I went down to SS and asked if they could provide me with my ex's number. They said, "No." I said, "Thanks anyway."
