You may think the U.S. has many enemies, but they're all like small puppies. They'll bark and bark, but once someone (the U.S.) jumps over the fence, they turn tail and run.

I agree, Warik, they are "small puppies." BUT, several small puppies can be very annoying, and could hinder an effort in the Middle East. I am just glad Israel is on OUR side, they're the only ones I would fear!

Besides, f*ck the world, most of it hates us anyway!!

the personal tragedy is the US's (as well as friends, family, tourists, of course) however the economic devastation is global. You have a lot of friends out there.

The former soviet union expressed support. Especially if they think it is afghanastan I think, since they had a rather embarassing occupation there.

Many asian countries expressed support.

China would have much to loose not supporting us on this issue. They are working on entering many world markets. And a country supporting terrorism would not do well in any international negotiations.

Not at all. Compared to the U.S., China is a third-world country. No one is going to turn away a helping hand, however.

I'd hate to be the guilty parties once they are found.

I think many of you are jaded into thinking that America still has the respect that it used to.

I would be very surprised, if the alledged man/group/country does turn out to be responsible, if any countries other than Israel, and MAYBE the former Soviet Union, due to what was said above, would "lend a helping hand."

Who knows, I might be too pessimistic when it comes to this, though. But from taking many classes dealing with other world cultures, I can tell you that MODERN foreigners DO not look up the U.S.

I know the groups dancing in the streets yesterday were NOT representative of the "entire" Middle East, BUT it proves many points, in my eyes.

Will we be backed up by our allies? You can be sure the Uk and Germany will. The other countries like France, Italy, Canada -who in my view harbors terrorist, because of easy entry to the country and access to the US- will try to halt any attacks trying to use political pressures and peace talks. We saw this with Bosnia, the gulf war, Tripoli accident . I hope I'm wrong though, we are at preliminary investigations and we should not rush to conclusion yet. We were quick to accuse Bin-laden on the tragic Oklahoma bombing yet it was an extremist national attack. Once we do know who the fuck carried out this tragic despicable attack -and we already have an idea 90%- we can unleash all hell and furry on these countries that aid and abed the growth of terrorists ...nuke'em

sure it'd be great to have a powerful coalition with us-but sitting around for weeks/months worrying about getting everyone on board is just another show of our weakness and division. We've got a good amount of the world with us now- we shouldn't really give ashit about China or whoever.There's sometimes something called "too much discussion".
