I got a question for you T-Boy or anyone else in his line of business

I have some old 8mm home films my grandpa took back from 39-43 and I want to transfer them to dvd

should I try to do it myself or take them to some shop?

the only shop in my city that did that type of work just shut down so any advice will be great help
