just think, once this happens we won't have to work or do anything. We could just sit at home and jerkoff while our "machine analog" goes to work for us. I dunno. If it opened the door to human creativity.......fine. But it very well could stifle it. I don't see any benefits to the human soul for this happening.

What are/were your interests in your field?
real analysis. one of the specific problems deals with ideal (maximal coverage) placement of N number of points in 3-dimensions. this specifically applies to satelites in orbit. the solution has been proven for N =1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 I believe. I am not so sure about the case N=4. The general solution is obviously still unknown.
I also liked to model biological functions and static processes using differential equations (this should be near and dear to you).
I secretly loved number theory specifically prime numbers and algorithms related to computer encryption (RSA). But I was steered away from this by advisors as it was not glamourous enough or conducive to a good career in mathematics. Which really didnt end up mattering anyways. I should of done my PhD.
Unfortunately I am stuck mostly doing statistics at work. I do teach part time at a local university but since I dont have my PhD I am limited to undergraduates and stuff of no real interest to my specialties.
