I think it depends on the person. The thing about pornography is that it excites but it never satisfies, which is why some people can't get enough of it. If you see a pic of a woman that turns you on, there isn't any satisfaction thats going to come out of it, except if she magically appears in your bed ready to fuck the crap out of you. So there will always be that "you can look, but you can't touch" thing going on.
The same would be if you went and looked at pics of food. You look at pic after pic, wanting and wishing, daydreaming and fantasizing how all those different foods would taste, but no satisfaction can ever come out of just looking at the pics. You would need to actually eat the food that you are looking at in order to be truly satisfied/satiated. So you look at the food pics, and get really, really hungry, starving for just one delicious bite of whatever it is your looking at. But all you have to actually eat is a box of rice cakes. Those are going to be nothing compared to all the delectible dishes in the pics. But that's all you have to eat, so you eat them. So your full, but not completely satisfied.
Same way with porn. You look at it, get all worked up, and go rub one out. The urge is gone for the moment, but the rubbing out is nothing compared to actually fucking the beautiful women in the nude pics. So complete satisfaction never does come. So eventually you go back to looking at it, thinking that sooner or later that you will run across the ultimate porn, the stuff that will completely be what you are looking for. But it isn't out there, because your trying to get satisfaction out of something that can never deliver what you want out of it.

So that's what porn does.
