Is my ass normal?

Did my 3rd shot of qv test enanthate sunday. Started to get sore monday, but not in the usual way. It's as if the soreness is all in the skin. My but cheek is red/irritated and the redness covers approx 40% of the cheek. Is this something commonly experienced and I should just write off, or is it a sign of something more serious?

Using 23ga, 1.5" needle buried up to a 1/4 inch of the syringe.

My ass hurts/feels the sam way. I am going QV Cyp/EQ and it is leaving me full of lumps. I almost feels like a small ridge across the muscle. It's slightly red and painful. I'd be a little concerned if it hurt in the skin because that's where an abcess forms directly under the skin. Do you heat or ice?

I don't heat or ice. Sometimes I'll take a shower right after the shot, but nothing more. Sorry, I'm ignorant on this topic....is there a reason that heat/ice should be applied after a shot, besides, and I assume, to help absorbtion and to spread the depot?

How much gear did you inject?

Did you aspirate?

And why did you bury the syringe 1/4"?

i only injected 250mg (1cc) and i aspirated. i bury the needle 1 1/4" into the glute and leave 1/4 of the needle exposed.

i give the injection area a good five minute rub afterwards, it can make the difference between pain and no pain at all. also make sure you are injecting in the correct spot, i have seen many people just jab it in the glute almost anywhere, but there is an almost perfect area to hit that will minimise pain tremendously. check out www.spotinjections.com
