Is it time for HRT?

Hey guys a little about myself. Im 36 years old and been lifting since 14 years of age. 6' 2" tall with a naked weight of 220 lbs. Down from 250 lbs 8 months ago. I have cycled on and off since age 24 with the last cycle ending October 30, 2009 which consisted of 300-500 mg of test pw, 50 mg of avavar pd and hcg through out for 10 weeks. I have felt pretty good up until 3 months ago. I have had some pretty bad fatige, low sex drive and just not much drive to work or workout. I had blood work done 2 months ago.

free test was 11 range is 9-30
total test was 347 range is 247-900

I was totaly honest with my doc about past usage. He had a complete blood test done and every thing came out normal. He did say that my test level were low but within range. He wants me back in two months to recheck test levels. So I guess he is hoping that I will gain some more test points before he decides to consider any treatment.

I guess my question is do you guys think I could benefit from HRT?

I really am tired of feeling so tired. Sorry this post was so long but I really value everyone on here opinions.

Thanks

I am in my late 30's and every year since my early 30's I noticed I was not feeling that great. The last few years I was tired ALL the time. I felt like I didnt sleep much the night before no matter how much I actually slept. I finally complained to my doctor and he sent me to a sleep study and took blood. My total testosterone was 360 and the sleep study didnt find anything wrong. I went on TRT in March to see if that would help and it certainly HAS. I am not tired all the time anymore. So far all is working out well. But be warned, it can take some time to get everything dialed in right dosage wise. I've heard some people talk about it taking a year or more.

Your levels are low. No question about it. Even though within the range, realistically a male cannot perform with those levels.

You will benefit from HRT. Absolutely. However, it wouldn't be a bad idea to give your body the opportunity to recover by itself. There is a chance that never recovered well from the las cycle, an maybe if you run a pct now, it will improve.

If you wait a couple months to get tested again, I doubt your numbers will increase by itself. Most probably you will end up on HRT anyways, but remember is for life.

I agree with DJ_UFO - your test levels arent going to miraculously go up. Your last cycle ended 9 months ago so your free test and test have restored as much as they are going to.

It really is ridiculous how docs just dont know what they are doing when it comes to TRT. Yet they will act like they do.

If they knew what they were doing then they would be the first to explain to you that you will feel better at a higher end of the range than you will at the lower end.

Instead they see that you are "within range" and so you should feel fine in their opinion.

As you said you are at the bottom 10% of that range. You can instead be at the top end of that range and feel way, way better AND look a lot better.

All of the symptoms you describe are typical symptoms of andropause.

The problem it sounds to me like is that you are going to a doctor who is uninformed in the area of hormones.

You should consider getting advice regarding hormones from an HRT/TRT clinic. They specialize in this area and it is all they do.

They can help you to get your free test and test levels back up and medically supervise and monitor you and your therapy.

I have a friend who works at an HRT/TRT clinic here in south FL. They service patients all over the country. So I'm sure he could help you, get you on medically supervised therapy, and you could solve your issues versus prolonging it with your current doctor.

If you want me to put you in touch with him, PM me and let me know.

I am 66 and have been on hrt for years. I also do cycles. So I have a lot of experience and have sampled a lot of different forms of test products.

John will benefit from hrt. And the program is very simple:
- low dosage test
- hgh
- adex
- diet
- vits and mins
- exercise
- recovery
- blood testing
The trick is to get just enough test to bump the numbers up without blood pressure, cholesterol and esto side effects. Every time I go over about 75 mg p/w, my body production shuts down. I probably only need 50.

Cycles for me are like a madman's hrt .... lots more test and everything else. And I get all the dam sides. But it is fun to get huge.
