or do your abs fade as the day goes on whether off or on cycle? Bulking or cutting seems like I gain 20lbs over the course of the day and my cals arent even that high yet.........depressing!
 
Same here. I just figure that when I wake up, I'm dehydrated so my muscles/veins show more.
 
Isnt it depressing? Makes me feel like forgoing my evening meal..........mental, mental mental..........to have the full 6 in the morning and then to barely have four flexed hard in the pm........but everything else is striated.......why do the abs go first?
 
Are you abs pretty sharp in the am and then gonezo in the pm??? cutting or bulking? I've kept up with the daily cardio as I increase my meals and cals, so this is why its depressing.......guess it's all in the diet, eh? My food choices are clean, just stuff I normally wouldnt eat during cutting i,e, cotage cheese, milk, fruit, excess oats, etc.....

I haven't seen those in years. I'm only about 12% body fat, but it's still been a long time since I've had a six pack.
Small price to pay for putting on 50lbs of mostly lean mass :)

But to add to this thread, even though I don't see the ripped abs, I can see the striations in my delts and chest a lot more in the morning.

yep...the body tends to hold water from carbs salt and especially sodium

lol, my friends and I would hit the beach at 9:30 in the morning during the summer because there was a consensus that are abs dissapeared by noon. Maybe it's because there's nothing in your stomach and a higher level of testosterone when you wake up that makes them pop out in the morning. Who knows? It's like morning wood, hard as a rock when you wake up, then after lunch it hides like a turtle.lol

I feel your pain. I look a lot better in the morning.
I had the flu a while back and was so dehydrated I had veins all through my abs. I was pissed that I was the only one that was going to see that... LOL.
As the day goes on I think I hold more water. I still have 8 abs at the end of the day though...
 
8??????? Then you need to eat more my good buddy.......my increase in cals is in the works........I wish i could nix the cardio, but eating is too much fun..........

16 Egg Whites
1.5 C Skim Milk
1/2 cup Oatmeal

Meal 2
9 oz Lean Ground Beef
1/2 cup steel cut oats
1 Tbsp MCT

Meal 3
2 C Skim Milk
3 Scoops Protein
1 Banana

Meal 4
Same as 2

Meal 5
Same as 3

Meal 6
10 oz Chicken
1 C Rice (or potatoe)

Meal 7
250 mL No Fat Cottage Cheese
2 Slices toast with Peanut Butter

im at iike 13 % and i can still see abs and some obliques? not as good as when i was down around 6%, but still visible. lol

but i do agree i can see them more cut in the morning... better for when u have a drunk girl that night and then next morning your more kinda cut so she'll be like... " ooooo, i guess i didn;t have the beer goggles on"
 
this is caused by the enhanced lymphatic drainage that occurs overnight, when you are in the laying on your back position, hence violla upon waking you look extra lean in the midsection

yah...I feel your pain
I usually do some situps in the am when I get up...that seems to help throughout the day, but they're definitely sharper in the am than the pm.
