Is it just Me or Do Ya'll Get Tired of the Body Building Thing?

yeah dude....but if im gonna keep a hobby at least its one that keeps me strong

its EASILY the increases in strength that keep me going. i like being able to punch harder, kick stronger, and most importantly now open jars :D

I mean women. I rented 5 pornos last Saturday and didn't even bother to watch them. I started to and kept thinking........."bitch." :(

Actually got some cleaning done.

Closet?

I've taken quite a bit of time off, lately. Between having strep throat twice in two months, and a ridiculous schedule, I haven't been getting to the gym very much. But it sure is fun getting fat :)

swami has been working out a lot longer than 2 1/2 years. sometimes i get tired of it. but when i get tired of it and start letting myself go, then i start to feel shitty. that is what keeps me in the gym. i'm young so i look at the olderpeople and say i never want to look like that. thats something esle keeping swam in the gym.

I understand. I take breaks, but the longest I can go is about 2 wks max though....then I start getting fidgety.

The 2 wk break does help motivation though. Also, change routines or your split. That helps as well. Even if its just for a short time.
You can even go as far as changing gyms. Any sort of change seems to help.
Best to ya.

Problems here....

I was really motivated until I moved back east.

1. No decent gyms. The one I found had politics going on, and they made it subtlely clear I was not welcome there. Found another place, but it took over a month just to not mind using an inferior place.

2. Winter depression/allergies have kept me from ever feeling as good as I did out west.

3. Job situation absolutely sucks. I scrounge to get by every month, and if I get a job, I'll have to buy home equipment since I'll likely be going a hour to and from work every day....no time to reroute to the only gym I have right now.

I think a big part is environment. Out west, I had 24-Hour Fitness. A positive, no BS, place to workout when I wanted to work out. Not a lot of socializing, but people were friendly.

Now, I had a gym that was fairly decent, but snobs. The one other person I got along with (we are both Christian) was also made to feel unwelcome. He had to change gyms too. So, I have this ratty gym I now use, often workout out alone....no social contacts. It's nice to go to the gym, and both work out and hang with buds while you're there.

i havent been to the gym in 3 weeks and dam does it show......:bawling: soon i will retutn with with gear in my back pocket ready to tear it up

When I get tired of training I just take a week or 2 off. Thats usually all it takes to get me motivated. What I do get tired of is eating. Gorging myself when bulking, and starving myself when cutting. Not to mention eating 7+ times a day.

All in all I think it's worth every minute of it. I look at my friends who drink 4 nights a week, eat fast food everyday, smoke cigarettes, and think I wouldn't trade with them for the world. I've come a long way from 7 years ago, and I'm damn proud of it!

Beats a crack habit!

i'm not sick of lifting, but im sure as hell sick of diets. I broke my diet this weekend, and still doing it. I enjoy good food way too much to give it up. :(
