Ummmmm, I would wonder why she was trying to stand out/make a statement/did she bang him or something......
Rubbing the shit in the widows face by being there and drawing all the attention to herself. Cruel:evil::evil: I like It.:evil:

lol it was the first thing that came to mind? :chomp:
LOL Yea thats a cruel ass women right there. Wimmenz is so much cruler than men bout stuff like that. They are pure:evil::evil::evil::evil::evil:

i cant stand the rules about what color is and is not appropriate to wear. who cares really? what significance does that trule have. what's more important IMO is celebrating the life of the deceased. let me tell you something, when i die, i dont give a fucking rats ass what color shirt you're wearing to my funeral.

lol..it's a she

My friend's mother passed, she was 80 something
I am sorry about your friends mother, my sympathies. I am also sorry for acting like an ass about it, with the widow post, but it was Chris's fault. He made me do it.

I totally agree, my father warned he did not want anyone in black at his cremation (didn't want a funeral/service either) no one showed up in black, blue, red, white pink, all colors, as a mourner I liked it, a bit more cheerful, black is asssociated with negative/bummer so not so nice in funerals....

I went to my grand fathers funeral in an ozzy osbourne concert shirt when i was 9

I hate when I don't read or skim and don't post...
I don't think red is a good idea.
I got some stares from when a friend that passed...
I had a red shirt under my sports coat... notabigdeal.
I however think it's cause I wore red.
I dunno.... it's weird that I wanna ask if they were young or old, but little nuances do actually matter.
I would not wear red.

nah you will be alright.. just dont put any sparkly stuff on ya face and youll be alright.. lol

If the family is old school, bad idea. If the family is not - then wear whatever you wish, they won't feel disrespected.

At a funeral, the deceased will *care* the least. LOL

He's a punk who was a quiet introverted football player... I would have killed to be him.
Like he was studious, very handsome... no rae carruth mo. Put a hit on his girlfriend to kill her and the baby and then ended up hiding in a a trunk of a car at a super 8 in georgia.

He's the posterchild for being a punk.
He's the embodiment of prison appreciation, that Pdaddy's calvin klein invitation for prison loving, in that cat thread.

there ya go.

yes....... people have talked shit about the stuff I wear to weddings lol

Speaking of Weddings... I wish Golden D was here, I'd like to get married just so he could DJ.

wtf, you don't have a black skirt?? something that would show the very top of the garters and stockings?? maybe with a slight breeze graveside??

lol..let's hear it
What do you wear to weddings? :)

red shirt, but I wore a white suit too. You have face bizzle princess?
I'm at 4 in Farmingdalw chilln' as I type. Check out the website 4 a visual!

I've worn both bright colors to funerals before and all black- depends on the person who died. If its a young life and its a sad funeral of a life cut short, then I wear all black, if its a funeral for somone who lived a long life then I just wear whatever is appropriate for the season.

I think weddings need more consideration. I wore a dress that just had WHITE IN IT and I got crap from the bride.

Normaly I agree with you, but this is a funeral. What if someone there, who is in mourning, adheres to those social standards? Why risk offending them in their time of sadness? A funeral is not the place to take a stand against fashion and ettiquette rules.

In the Celtic culture red was symbolic of death/the afterlife (makes sense, the Morrigan was their major death goddess and red is her color).

The death of one who has lived their life in full isn't quite as sad as one who was taken unexpectedly or in their prime. Yes, the loss is there but it's not a total shock. It really does become more a celebration of their life's achievements. Wear something that makes you feel good and ask for stories about grandma's life, your presence will be appreciated :)
