Is falling asleep when u r running a store a bad thing?

Hmmm, from about 1030-1230 today I spmehow was unable to stay awake at work so I fell asleep with my head on the counter, I am the only worker mind u. I had to be woken up twice, which made me feel like an ass, and another time I didn't wake up till the person was leaving. Im thinking the costumers weren't very appreciative haha. Maybe sleep at night time is a good thing, I don't know

Hey, it's only bad if your supervisor catches you.

When I worked in a bar I'd get drunk all the time, and a lot of the other bartenders would be using various narcotics, so I don't think dozing off is that terrible. lol

Only if something is missing after you wake up or a customer does not get the service he needs while you are asleep.

This is why I think the local KMart has made an intelligent investment. They have installed 4 customer-checkout devices that let you scan your own shit and pay for it with cash, atm, credit, even a check I think. That way, the cashier (i.e. the self-serve machines) are "asleep" until someone needs them.

So as long as you have a little bell that says ("If sleeping, ring for assistance."), I don't see the problem.

Uhhh, the only problem is that I run that store (GNC) solo till someone else gets there, so if Im sleeping, there is know one to watch the store, ohhhhhhh wellllll. I just couldn't stay awake, if a secret shopper or the regional manager woulda shown up, Id be out of a job lol

dont worry man,one night i went over to a friends house and a bunch of us were there,and they broke out some booze,well i said ill just have a couple ,but i drank till i was drunk and it was 4 am,i had to work at 7am at a gas station,well i was passed out from after i opened at 7 till 1230,i take it people jsut took gas and left,i mean wouldnt you

Sheeyit- if I worked at GNC, I'd be loading up on that stuff. As it stands now, I've got enough friends that work there that I can't remember the last time I didn't get a "discount".
