My insurance just switched to this. Is this a pain in the ass or are there any pros to it? I have always liked going right up to the pharmacy and picking it up. They always have to make changes!
It sounds crazy but my insurance is medical mutual but scripts are now gonna go through Costco.Maybe im just worked up because its new to me.Thanks everyone for your input.
express script is what I had along with med mutual but I didnt have to send off for anything.Costco is a huge membership club at wholesale prices. It just sounds crazy to me getting scripts from a place like this.
It is ok if you have a script for long term use but if you have a cold (or your child does) and you need it ASAP it is worthless. I just pay the extra money and get it locally.

Mail order is only for long-term prescriptions (>30 days). If you're taking blood pressure, cholesterol, or other long-term prescriptions, then some insurers require you to use mail order. If it's an antibiotic or something that's <30 days, then any pharmacy will usually be covered.I was thinking about this the other day. WTF do people do if they need a script for antibiotics or something? Wait five days?
There has to be some kind of clause for immediate needs.

Wife gets birth control pills like that. No problems and it's cheaper.
