Is anyone on the patch? OrthoEvra...

I've been on it for almost 4 months now and I swear it made me blow up like a f*cking balloon. Anyone else notice this side effect?

I tried it for about 3 days, and it was a bad 3 days. I bitched at my husband and cried and generally felt like s**t. I wasn't on it long enough to notice any weight fluctuations. I haven't found a hormonal BC method yet that I can tolerate without turning me into a real bitch.

Uhh... i would not reccommed it if u are into workingout hard core bc mine fell off after a week. From taking two showers, working out and swimming as well. It also after the first few days it gave meeh an upset stomach and the weight gain did cross my mind so i stopped it a while ago.

You do. Mine fell off the first day. Of course, I took it off on the 3rd for good.

I was on it for about 6 months. The side effects sucked. I was extremely bloated, and my period was super heavy. I only had a problem with the patch coming off if I wore it on my ass since all I wear is thongs. I definetely wouldnt recommend it.

Nope; Im on Depo. Love the stuff. One shot in my ass every three months and i'm good to go. No periods. either.

All I hear is "Don't do it!!" from people that have had bad side effects, significant weight gain, spotting for 3 months, etc.

I'm sure it affects everyone differently, but it's nice to hear SOMEONE that is happy with it. How long have you been on it? Have you had any of the side effects? Any weight gain? Spotting? Or was it just clear sailing?

My sister in law is the second person who I know who stopped the Depo shots due to all the sides you mentioned above! She's a VERY active gal too. Eats fairly clean and gained 15 lbs when she started the shots!

I'd be passing on this form of BC!

Vixenbabe: Yikes.. 15 pounds is not a risk I'm willing to take. I was thinking that maybe the weight gain was minimal, or was more substantial for inactive people, but if your sister in law is very active, eats well and STILL gained 15, that is highly uncool!!

So Depo is out...

Maybe Ortho Evra... if I can find some people that have used it for awhile and like it.... I'm just so tired of this dang pill...

I have heard really bad things about the shot. I'm on alesse and seem to be doing pretty good. I don't gain any weight, but have a harder time losing it. I lost 30 pounds while in it recently and now I'm stalled again. I hope to get moving again, but I have thought of going off the pill to see if I can drop some more!
