Inzer or Metal?

I would like to hear people's preferences for the Inzer or Metal IPF (single layer) squat suits.

Thanks,

I would say stay away from inzer only becuase their customer service sucks ass! If you do get an inzer suit don't order it directly from them.

Four years ago I squatted 505 in a Metal V type Squatter. That was 100 pounds over my best raw squat at the time. My powerlifting career was short lived and that was the only suit I've used. I can't really comment on the Inzer suits, but Elites customer service is great. When you call you actually talk to someone who has a clue. Also when I ordered the suit it was too small. They exchanged it for a bigger size even though I had chalk all over it.

What about Titan?

This is why I'm asking.

Its a video of me really having a hard time with a Metal IPF V Squatter. As you can see my form is all f'ed up, and I am fighting like hell with the suit. IIRC we had around 500 or so on the bar.

Looks like you are having a hard time finding the "groove" of the suite. Doesn't it just take practice to get used to the groove?

You'd think so, but damn it must be a small groove. I've been working on this suit for saver sessions now, and that's the best so far.

When you hear me grunt, that's not from the weight either. That's from a 2"x2" piece of skin getting trapped between my belt, the suit and my upper thigh on the way into the hole. I've never had a blood blister like that before in my life. It seemed like I drained 1/2 cup of blood from it when I got home.

It's really hard to tell in that video, but maybe open your stance up a little more.

if pinching is your issue than i doubt an inzer will be any better...
i have an inzer max dl suit and when i first got it... it was so tight i couldnt get down to deadlift at all... i had to buy a singlet just to compete because i didnt have time to break it in...
now i have used it to squat to break it in and it is getting better but it still leaves blisters all over my hips... i can now get low enough in it to pull conventional... but not as low as i'd like to ...and i still cant get low enough to sumo...
it works well with squats though and i just squatted 405@150 the other day.... but it was painful getting pinched between the suit and belt like you said...

I can see why you would say that, but I'm already practically sumo squatting as it is.

I've never had to fight a suit so hard before. It is forcing my knees together and I can't get my ass back far enough. Especially with the straps up.

Maybe I need to go up a size.

ON your sets with reps, each rep gets better AND slower. Finding the groove better.

With OLY shoes, why do you use a wide stance? That could easily throw you off.

OLY shoes are mostly used by guys with a semi-fast descent..hard to do that in a new suit.

How long you had the suit? Is it up high enough? Straps long enough? When you take the straps down it seems that your form improves ten fold.

The legs big enough and pulled up in to your crotch? It looks like you don't have it up high enough, isn't big enough, etc... Causing your knees to go crazy!

The Oly shoes are rather new. Bergman thought we should give them a try. The jury is still out because I am a wide stance squatter.

The suit is relatively new. In that video, it is maybe the 3rd session with it. Before each set I would hang off the J hooks to get it pulled up. The suit is a 54. I think because of the video, my knees, and the absolute destruction of my skin underneath I need to go to a 56. With the straps up it feels like I am bottoming out at about half way down, and I have to fight like hell to get the rest of the way, and I certainly can't get my ass far enough back to tea bag the box.

I'm seriously thinking of going back to RAW.
