Introduce yourself

Hey Guys

Am 26, 6'1", and 210lb's with about 17% BF. Goals for the moment are simple, reduce BF down to about 9%, and tone up. Was 259lb's of pure fat when I started training again 8 months ago, wanna be about 185lb's.

Goals for the future: bulk back up to about 210, but this time I aint gonna be no fatty.

Only joined this site recently, but have been reading it for a while. Learnt a lot from some of you guys, and its helped motivate me and give me a greater insight to lifting, so for that I give thanks

I'm a 33 year old dice (craps) dealer and i used to do stand up comedy. I am single and loving it, I just returned from Thailand, I had a ball in Pattaya beach but it did a number on me.LOL I'm probably in the worst shape of my life, I recently bought "Clenbuterol" and "Cynomel" and when i was in Thailand i bought some "Winstrol" which i'll take after this cycle.

I live in Vegas and i love the weather. I love to travel, I fly about 8 times a year, i go to Pattaya Thailand twice a year and New York twice a tear to see family. I am going to Tijuana Mexico in a week for a few days. Like i said i love being single.

I am 40 years old and used to be a player in the amateur bodybuilding world of South Jersey a long time ago. I used to also own a club (about 10 years ago).

I haven't been in a gym for a while thanks to an injury I suffered while coming to the aid of someone in a bar brawl. I was in great shape at one time, but have since fallen off the bench! I am back in the gym now and it is frustrating to start all over again. Especially at 40!

Making gains like I used to just doesn't happen anymore!

Now I am trying to regain my youth through fitness. I have no desire to return to the hardcore bodybuilding life, but I want to get back some of my size and physique.

I'll post some before/after pics when I have any!

im back. i was a member awhile back. lost touch. hopefully the same ol wise vets are still around.

about me:
how old? old enough to not want to answer this question anymore.
east coast
lifting for about 6 years but plagued with injuries. life sucks. what can i say.

I am 27, live in Sydney Australia. I work out twice a day 4 days per week and once a day 2 days per week. I have one day a week where I try to rest as much as possible.

I am a Physical Trainer in the military so I am lucky to be able to work out for a job as well as instruct Spin at Fitness First so again that takes up my cardio.

My workouts consist of a 3 day weight split, 3 sessions of Spinning, 2 sessions of unstable cables (Roman Rings) and medicide ball / Swiss ball, and 2 sessions of flexibility.

I try and work out for optimal functional fitness. trying to cover flexibility, resistance training, balance/ Core and cardio.

I am absolutely obsessed with training and can not imagine how some people go through life with little or no fitness.

Train Hard, Win Easy!!!

I've been training for 8 years now - stats 5'10", 200 lbs, bf? (too much, no doubt).

What's up everybody.
I'm a 32 y.o. ex-Marine. I'm freshly unemployed (that's a good thing, right? Lots of time to lift!!!) In the process of starting my own consulting business. I can't box anymore because of an injury, but I can train(carefully) and swim. I'm also trying to improve my chess (and chest).

Good evening everyone. I am happy to be part of the elite family. I have been working out for around 22 years. I am currently 38 and a new father of a 9 lbs baby girl. I have been a telecom engineer for over 10 years in the state of Florida. If I could ever be of any assistance please let me know.

hey everyone, I'm fairly new to the website. I'm 27 years old, 155 lb and about 8%BF. I'm slowly but steadily making gains. I started lifting in college because I was tired of getting pushed around on the basketball court and tired of chick referring to me skrawny. I currently train at a very power lifting oriented gym, Neolimits in Ohio, but I'm considered adding a home gym.

Hi everyone,I'm Dags and have only been a member for a few weeks.I am already addicted and spend most of my spare time on this site.I have found a lot of usefull info and can't thank everyone enough.

sup all, i think i've found a new favorite bb forum. this has more information than any other bb or pl forum i've been to. anywho, 6'1", 275 lbs, @15-16% bf.

Hello all, Im 26 years of age. I like to play football Lift weights. I have recently decided to get heavy into bb. About 5 years ago i walked the great earth at 350 lbs 5'8" . I decided to change my life cause i stood on them doctor scales and was really in aaahhh at my weight. i am currently 245lbs. i still have fat to lose but is very hard since i was so big and my skin was stretched out. will need to have surgery to remove it all. it looks like i had the gastoric bipass op. i have good genes i beleive. putting on muscle doesnt seem to be a problem. I did however start to work out because i was playing football. I went to the Arnold Classic last year(will return this year) and was just amazed at the hard work these guys put into this. i would like to go pro sometime but knowing from lifting about 5 years or so it will take more hard work and determination than i have done in the past. Thanks for having me here and hope to hear from you all in the future. Good luck to all in their goals and life

5'11" 180lbs, BF % is in the high teens. I've been weightlifting for 4 years, but have been in a serious routine for only about 8 months. Im looking forward to owning my muscles over the next couple of years and seeing my true genetic potential. Nitrix + protein = good gains.

51 years old. Powerlifter, best total 1000 lbs with a 365 squat, 270 bench, 365 dead. That was in Aug. of last year. Since then I hit a 345 bench with a Karin DD. I hope to total 1100 with a 400 sq, 300 bench, 400 pull. Started training 20 mos. ago and love how it has changed my body. I have 36 inch waist, started at 44. I compete in 242 class but I generally weigh in around 225. I have bad arthritis and the lifting has helped immensely. I sup with fish oil, glucosamine and chondroitin, saw palmeto, protein powder, creatine, and L-glutamine. Plus vitamines and BCAAs.

26 year old female. been training with a heavy approach since i was 15, although until the last 3 years i used to restrain myself, fearing i would become too big and disfigured. now i've gone all out, started powerlifting in spetemeber 2004 and am gonna be competing in april 2005 at my first powerlifting meet.
i'm 5'5'', weigh 165lbs (or slightly under), a bit of bodyfat on my stomach. never had my bodyfat measured (yet).
pb's are
bench: 105kg (for 3, touch chest)
squat 120kg (below parallel for 1)
deadlft 145kg (for 1) all raw as i cant afford to get the shirts or suits.
started juicing last january (2004), done three 6-week cycles and i've gained and retained 14lbs since then, although it tends to fluctuate.
got a great partner, who lives the other side of the world (san francisco) and i'm hoping to move there later on this year, visa permitting. anyone know any good gyms there? i need a dirty hardcore spit and sawdust style one...

This goes for the vets as well as the new folks.

Name: David Hanks
Current: 213 lbs from 265lbs
Height:6' 3/4"
Age:36
Goal: 175-180lbs BF% (< than 10%)
Hobbies: Triathlons, Nutrition, Cooking, Swimming,

I have been working for awhile on getting down to the weight I want to be. I moved to Seattle over a year ago and had a set back. I did very limited weight training while training for triathlons. I am going to use an weight training to get me to the next level. I think this site will provide the necessary information to get me where I want to be. I have been running, biking for the past two years. I do not fit the triathlon body makeup at all. I want to get lean and ripped... It will be hard for me to compete at 175lbs but I would like to try it.

I am looking for a detailed program that will burn fat, add muscle. If anyone has a program that is really not about bulking up let me know. I will be posting pics of before & after (where I am right now) on this site this week.

I am going to be hitting the gym (weight training) today but need a plan...

Dave

Hello everyone. My name is Sean and I'm just getting back into weight lifitng. I was into it about 7 or 8 years ago when I was in university but an injured rotator cuff got me out of the gym and I stopped altogether. Years passed and some personal problems started becoming health problems, I was smoking and drinking too much. After I graduated and started my first job out of school I decided to quit smoking. That, coupled with my new sedintary lifestlye, really ground my metabolism to a halt and I put on a lot of weight. I'm 6'2" and weighed a whopping 260 lbs with a 40" - 42" pants waist size at my biggest. That was about four and a half years ago. I decided that enough was enough and started getting back into shape. I bought a fluid trainer for my bicycle and started riding indoors in front of the television. I believe that indoor trainer may have saved my life and I still use it to this day (actually this morning). I struggled with my weight for a few years and got rid of a lot of my fat. My weight would bounce between 205 and 225 lbs. I decided to get back into weight training last year and decided this time to try a program. I tried Body for Life Which worked well until I injured my other shoulder rock climbing. I started another 12 challenge on the Body for Life program last November and it worked well. I dropped 20 lbs, gained a fair bit of muscle and feel much better. I now weigh 190 lbs and, at the age of thirty two can now fit into clothes I haven't been able to wear since I was in school. Right at the end of the 12 weeks I went on vacation to South America and got sick for several days. I lost another 8 lbs in two weeks. I feel too skinny now and would like to put on more weight and still get rid of some fat around my midsection. I have just started another 12 week challenge but want to focus less on weight loss and more on weight gain (the good kind).

I'm 37, 5'8 and 190lbs. I have been training for 26 months and have gained about 20-25lbs since i started. With the whole weight training thing being such a minefield, i am looking for some advice on how better to tailor my workouts and improve my diet for better results.

Right now i train 4 times a week (3 heavy, i cardio) and use Whey protein supplements and creatine (the creatine being in 6 week cycles with a 3 week break).

I seem to have reached something of a plateau (looking big, but not cut) and i know i have loads more in reserve but need advice in the best ways to tray and unlock it. Hope you can help,

Cheers

Hey guys. 27 years old and been lifting since I was 13. I love martial arts and have a second degree black belt in tae kwon do and a first degree black belt in tang soo do and I am now training in jujitsu. I'm studying to be a nurse and I would love to build a great body.

Hey guys and gals! I'm a 32 y/o that has been lifting on and of for about 12 years. Most of the "off" has been because of injury and surgeries. (knees and shoulders) For some reason I thought I had to lift the house to get as big as the house. Been training with much better results and with MUCH less pain since I found HST. Currently at 5'11"/255 @ approx 17% bf. Being in the military, I'd like to get down around 235 or so to help my run time. I hate CKD...it works but hard to maintain with as much travel as I do. I am enjoying hanging out here! Maybe, just maybe try my first cycle soon.

Hey all
My name is Hans and have been lifting since starting college 2 years ago.
Last couple weeks have been trying to fix leg muscle imbalance probelm where tight it bands and quads are pulling the patella of the knee to the right, cue very noisy knees! :worried:

Stats
Age 19
6'4' 190lbs Bodyfat-don't know, mid teens?
B.B benchpress 32.5kg
1 arm row 40kg
Pullups-wide grip 12 bodyweight
lat-pulldown triangle bar 74kg
bent row 70kgs

I'm Ross. 21, 6 foot, 195, low body fat(don't know?)
Been lifting for about 7-8 years. During first four was high school, not real consistent and wrestled so didn't want to gain much weight, painfully kept 6 foot 140 during wrestling season. Now play Rugby, which keeps me on the opposite end of the deal. Working for size and eat for a family.
College student. That's pretty much the short version.

My name is Jay and I am 19 years old. I have been lifting for approx 4 years now - since high school - well to be honest I would say I have been training seriously for 2.5 years...the first 2 years being basically 'lets see how much i can lift and break my back sort of attitude' :worried:. great for building strength but mass gain was very limited as you can imagine.

However, research, mags, internet especially with the feedback and advise from such wicked forums like this and gathering as much research as poss gave me the knowledge i believe, and is increasing, to work towards building a fab physique...of course with the necessary dedication and commitment.

I enjoy all sports and very athletic and plan on entering my first comp in November!!!

Below are my stats;

Height - 5' 9 1/2''

Weight - 185lbs &% b/f (at present)

Best exercise - deadlift ;)

Worst exercise - sqauts :worried:

Best bodypart - none - I am all for improving

Worse bodypart - none - '' ''

Anyway guys just would like to say hello and will chat very soon ;)

I'd like to introduuce myself..

My name is Ryan, I'm Native American, Mandan and Arikara from North Dakota, and been bodybuilding/weight trainig for roughly 3 1/2 years.. I've made alot of gains from when I first started, I've come from being a scrawny 135lb lil sit to a massive 185lb monster (it seemed like) after my 1st cycle, (sustanonn 250 and Propanate), which was pretty early in my weight training (probably a little too early). Right now I'm at 165lbs, here are some of my stats..

Bench 245lbs
Squat 355lbs
Mililtary Press 185lbs
Pull-ups 25

Not too sure what else to put.. But I'm in pretty good shape..

I am currently in the U.S. Navy and am about to get out and start my life, I can't wait, I've spent over 3 1/2 years out here and I'll tell ya what it's the Worst and Best decision I've made... I woulda never got into bodybuilding if it wasn't for a very few people I've met while I was in.. It's a great sport and am gonna continue to do it for probably the rest of my life..

Well I'm not a pro, I'm jus here to ask for advice from everyone else on what i'm doin wrong and myabe help some people out with some of the stuff I've learned along the way..

Well nice meeting ya'll..

Ryan.

My name is Chris 35 yrs old 6'3" 260. Been lifting since i was 15 and played college football. Quit for a few years and was too vain when people started telling me how bad i looked. Lifted on and off again for a few years and have been lifting regular for the last few years. Have always wanted to compete but don't have the time. Never watched my diet before so the last month have been watching that and it has done wonders. Still learning all the ends and outs of nutrition. Just getting back into lifting with the deadlifts and squats and will start the 5x5 program from madcow next week.

Personal best

Squat 660lbs
Power Cleans 365lbs
Bench 475lbs

Most of these in college at a weight of 230 lbs except for the bench which was last year. I want that thick mass, but want to stay lean as well. Unsure where my bodyfat is but still have a little around the waist. Some good advice on here and enjoy reading.

I'm 43 years old. 6' and 225# (18% bf). I started at 205# and 25% bf. Not too shabby for an old guy. Goal is 250# with 10-12% bf. I'll do it, too. Workout 5 days a week, racquetball one night a week, full court bball on Saturday. I keep quite active.

My wife of 18 years thinks I work a bit too much. I'm the IT guy for a major western nursery. Lots and lots of work, but I've been there for 13 years.

When I need a break from all the crap - drive for 6-8 hours into the mountains and spend several days fly fishing. When I have time, I tie my own flies, as well.

im 24 and i like to lift and train to cage fight,i love spending time with my kids and my wife to. i am a trash man make good money and enjoy it alot. my gool is to get down to 195 by summer and start building my self up again.im at 205 right now and working hard to get to my gool. im 6 205 and like to have fun. thats about it for me k

Im Joe.. I spent high school getting ranked in the top 100 chess players in IL.. i live in the northern suburbs of chicago but then I was in a bad car accident (suv knocked me off my bike and wraped it around my leg) did physical therapy for a cracked ankle (so yeah I got lucky) and just got into the whole training and wanted to do more so I started lifting not seriously at first then I got into it and lifted for 6 months went from 128 (post accident) to 147 which is higher then my pre accident somewhere in the 130s then my father passed away and my grandmother so I had to go deal with stuff in rl and gave up weight lifting now im in college and I want to get serious about it again.. I weight 148 with about 15% bf and I want to hit 165-170 ideally in the next 4 months naturally witht he same or less bf%... I dont know that its possable but im gonna try... Id never heard of 5x5 till now but thats what iv started with... I also live near chicago but am going to college in upper michigan... I think id like to do BB but powerlifting interests me too

Hey all, I've just started reading around this place recently as I'm pretty new to lifting. I jus turned 18 years old and have been lifting for roughing a year. I'm soon to graduate high school and am then going to attend PSU! :)

Starting stats: 5'5" 125 lbs
Current: 5'7" 160 lbs

I have stuck to a beginner routine for basically the entire year I have been lifting, once in a while deciding to go heavier/lighter for a few weeks at a time. I've read through numerous boards and gathered all kinds of information on lifting. I'm planning on starting DC training in a few weeks, and maybe starting a training log in here for everyone to critque/ learn from.

21 years old
5-10, 180lbs, 9%bf
Have been workin out for roughly 2 years now. Done a complete turn-around from my old lifestyle of eating junk and never exercising (was 5-10 and 225lbs then), 2 eatin healthy 95% of the time and lifting/running 6 - 7days a week. Still experimenting with workout routines and seeing rapid progress. Goal 4 now is to get as fit as possible naturally (no extra T or other boosters, with the exception of caffeine....lol).....both in endurance and overall strength.

I'm 28 and just started working out again this year after a 2 year layoff.

Stats are 6'1, 195lbs around 12% bodyfat (I'd guess). My goals this year are to get rid of all the extra lard I've put on during the last 2 years and build up a good base of strength.

I'm 24 yrs old, been lifting since I was 16. I started out having to do it for basketball and football. I really got into when I was about 18. I am 227 lbs at 13% bf and 6' tall. I used to be a member of this board in 2001, I have since came back because this is the best board on the net I have found. I work as a CNC programmer and I'm in school getting my degree in Machine Tool. I really love what I do. I have a boston terrier named Tyson. I guess thats about it. Its nice to meet all you guys and gals.

hey everyone,

been here reading the post for a while, also just went plantinum, I figure even though I wasnt posting I enjoyed the site so I may as well support it.

I've been lifting on and off for about 2 years, but things out of my control always seem to get in the way ie. major surgery, war with iraq, etc, so Ive never been able to make any real gains. I dont forsee anything in the near future getting in the way of me now though.

Im 6'4", 210lbs, and not a damn clue what my BF% is.

Hey everyone,

Felt this was an appropriate first post. I'm glad I found this place and look forward to learning and getting to know ya'll. Cheers

- 6'1, 185lbs, 14" bicep, 16" neck

Hey everyone though I would post here first, I normally post at BB4U but found this place and there seems to be alot more experience. Im 22 6'1" and weight 200 currently bulking so I'm at about 13% body fat. I'm in the military currently in Iraq but just getting ready to go back home. I've been lifting for about 8 years with about a 2 or 3 year gap where I wasn't lifting. I started again back in January when I came to Iraq.

K, so I've been reading here for well over a year and made a few posts, but just thought i'd go ahead and introduce myself for ya all.

I've been lifting for about 7 years now, currently at about 200lbs 6'2" and 6-8%BF. Getting ready to start up on madcows 5x5 routine for the summer so look for a log of my gains and more info!

I am a sophmore in college, started lifting seriously about two years ago thanks to a friend. I love backpacking, hunting, and Mopars.

6'0

145lbs

15%BF (According to my high tech scale, can vary anywhere from 10-15 depending on how much I have ate)

My upper body is starting to look to big for my legs so I have started training all muscle groups :worried:

im 22 years old and have been lifting for 2 years now. My training consisted of mainly BB'er type splits until i hit a platuea and now im doing madcows 5x5.

When i first started lifting i was 160 at 6'1 with little bodyfat, and now im 200.

This site is awesome. Everyone here helps out so much and ive learned so much since ive been reading here.

Hi Everyone,
Been a lurker on the boards for quite some time, probably 2 years now. Used to be on under another name. I'm 31 years old 6'0 215 lbs, not sure of BF, I need to get it tested. I train mostly just to stay in shape to help me as I get older. Been training on and off since I was 18.

Hopefully I'll be more active on the boards as i'm on here every day.

Here are the first comparisons. The first is at 270, and really out of shape, well I guess round is still a shape. The other is today at 250.

Hello every one. First off the name Playboy comes from a dog I lost that touched my heart. I lost him at 6 months. Any way, I am 30 with 3.5 kids. Wifey is due early September with my 3rd son. My daughter is 12. Yes I started early..... :p

I started doing a little martial arts when I was 13-15. At 15 I discovered amateur boxing. That was it for me. All i did was train. I went from skin and bones to skin and lean muscle. I was ripped. A lot of my friends said i looked like Bruce Lee. While my friends where out drinking I was out running. I had my first match only 6 months into training and got beat. It taught me a lesson. The lesson was never fight again until the coach says I'm ready...LoL I learned to listen to those with more experience. I couldn't get any more fights. I trained hard and spared with guys 20lbs heavier then me. I was in the 147# welter weight class. I was on the top of my game and even went to golden gloves but no one wanted to fight me. I had a motor cycle accident in 2000 and dislocated my left shoulder. There went boxing. I shoulder has never been the same.

Since then I have been coaching and weight training. I recently started lifting heavy to bulk up. I'm tired of being so thin. At 30 i am still 150-160#
I've been taking Cytogainer for about a month now and from 155# I am up to 164#. I'm going to the gym 3 days a week right now. Monday is chest and tris, Tuesday is Legs/abs, thursday is back/arms. So far I've been asked by 3 guys at the gym is i am on juice. They all said I look too ripped to be natural... I just laughed it off cause one day I would mind trying juice for a cycle. That is one of the reasons i am here. To learn from all you with experience on gaining mass, etc. I will watch my posts and i have read the stickys. I will keep certain questions to private emails.
I look forward to all the help you guys can give me.

61 years young. Been doing this for 45+ years. Been in the scene since Reeves. I've met a lot of bb's and seen them do some crazy things. Also met some real gentlemen and ladies.

I try for the Classical Physique and am still at it. I still have daily and monthly goals in front of me.

At present, I'm 6', 205. Chest 50 and waist 33. (Had some cake...). Neck and arms at 18. Thighs up to 26 after going back to plain old full squats. Feet are ruined so calves are down to 16 1/2. I have found a way to work them and will get them back up over 17.

I've had a lot of careers and found that a simple life is best. If it looks too complicated ... you can bet it is fu*ked up and you should back away.

Good family, good food, good workouts and saying your prayers is the way to go.

My back/upper body is really weak because I stopped lifting for about a year. I used to be able to do about 20 pull-ups in a row and squat around 250 lbs, which may not seem like much but I was only 150lbs at 5'11" back then. I want to get my strength back up, but I'm not sure what the best upper back workouts are. My legs could probably handle squatting 250 again, but my back definitely cannot. I almost hurt myself trying to do 200 the other day. :worried:

I weigh 175-180 right now, not much more body fat than before, just not as lanky as I used to be.

Whats up everybody, I'm 22, 6'0, 260, currently high in bf, lowering it as we speak. I've been a member for about a month now and couldn't be happier, a lot of knowledgable people on here. I'm starting my first cycle ever this monday, 50mg QV whinny ed for 6 weeks. Any advice or suggestions welcome... hope to hear more from everyone!

Hey everyone, i just joined the site and i must say there is some very good info on here. Right now im 6' 245lbs not sure of bf%. I have been working out for about a year but i have never dieted right or pushed myself hard in the past year. For the past 2 weeks i have been making awesome progress though, a good friend of mine finally joined the gym with me and we have been working together and with some other guys that are in great shape and i feel amazing. My goal is to get down to around 215-225lbs and put on some good muscle mass in the process. Im thinking about starting some Thermorexin this week along with eating right like i have for the last 2 weeks. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

New to EF, enjoying the info and links..39yo..was lifting hard at an old school, hard core gym...about 8 years ago..actually power lifting, tore both rotater cuffs..
So..laid of the heavy weights, but stayed in shape with cardio and light lifting 'till now.

want to get back in the "loop" about gear, have cycled in the past..mainly test and deca. I have experimented with eqipoise and d-ball but that was in the 80's..did some winne as well. I even made a few trips to Mexi with success.
There is a shit load of supps and what not that I am reading about here, will try a few, and will ask some direction,
Thanks for helping an old bro...JC

I'm new to EF and look forward to poking around and getting familiar with folks here.

My main pasttime now is martial arts (aikido) when I'm not spending time with my girl. I'm getting back into weightlifting after a hiatus last winter. Before that, I spent a solid four years or so with fitness training and learned quite a bit.

Have a great one!

Hey guys- I'm new to this, and other bodybuilding forums, but no newbie to the regime. I've been lifting weights since I was 13 and really got into bodybuilding between the ages of 19-22. I kinda stop bodybuilding because I was finishing up my bachelors and getting into dental school. I'm 25 now, I'm in okay shape, but nowhere the 8% bodyfat I was in earlier. Just wanted to introduce myself and wanted to get back into bodybuilding again.

My sister is trying to launch a new website about what she loves to do and I thought maybe some of you could give some feedback or suggestions... the website is www.muscle4life.com. Anyways, I hope everyone here today is doing well. Go Eagles :)

I would be interested in contacting your sister. I have a site that I put up a few months ago and like where she seems to be going with it. There may be something we can do for eath other. Kudos on the effort...sometimes it's hard to pursue when you come up against a wall!

Tell her I like it!

Ok here's my introduction.

I am 29 and have been into weight lifting for about 5 years. I am 5'6" and 125 lbs. I'm not sure what my bf is I think 17-18%. I am a mother, a wife, a student and somewhere in all that work full time. My stress is relieved at the gym 5 days a week at 5 am....that's the only time I get to myself.

I have 5 children that range from age 2-11. I am currently pursuing my BA in Business Management and am an account exexutive (that's a fancy name for a sales person) for an IT and communications consulting firm.

I look forward to tons of information in this forum.

My name is Remco, I'm 29 years old. I weigh 165 lbs at 5'8". Bodyfat is around 12% at the moment. I've been physically active for little over a year and made some gains in strength and endurance. Besides lifting weights I box two or three times a week and run a few times a week, up to 10km (still improving speed and distance).

Before I started doing sports I was in a terrible condition. I started smoking tobacco at age 12. Drinking at 16 or so. At age 17 I added smoking marijuana to my list of bad habits. At age 26 I weighed 132 lbs and was unable to run more than a few meters. Then I decided to quit smoking, and grew to 182 lbs within three months. Needless to say something had to be done. Running was horror at first. Injuries, exhaustion, bad material, etc. Things are ok now though. I keep improving every week.

Well that's it :)

Just turned 29 on Sept 11th. Nice fuckin b-day I know. Been training for 10 years this November. I have gone from 160 to just over 250 at the same height. I also enjoy riding bikes, traveling, spending time with my GF, and occasionally going out and getting hammied with my friends. Hopefully I will grow out of that soon though.

Hey all-great board. I started lifting at 17-now 45 but took the last 4yrs off to concentrate strictly on martial arts. Choong Sil Tae Kwon Do & weeping willow jujutsu have been taking up all my time but now have kinda gotten bored with that & I'm going back to the iron. I'm 6'3" & 235 right now-lost a lot of size over the past few yrs as I was more worried with flexibility than mass. Perhaps getting my feet wet with gear to jump start my gains~ .. Back in the day used Dbol & Test cyp with great success-but there is so much more out now i'll have to do a little research.
My wife & I are both RN's so at least I do know a little about meds ( )& that has come in handy in the past....now if I can just keep from screwing my back up--again.

Hey everyone, I'm new to elite fitness, and fairly new to BB. I am 26yr old, 6'2" 212lbs. I used to be 228lbs, and lost the 18 lbs last year. My goal is to shred up, and lose about 12 more lbs.

I am a teacher, and like paintball, college Football, and training.

Whats going on guys my name is Robert and im 22 yrs old i weigh 248 with like 21 %bf and ive been weight training for like 6 mo. im trying to lose my excess bf and gain more muscle. im new here so expect a lot of dumb questions outta me for a while

Hello, I'm 27 years old, and I'm starting to work out again, after a long layoff. I worked out really hard and got great results (went from 103 - 175 in about 2.5 years) about 10 years ago. Then, went to college, got married, had kids, and it's been really off and on since then.

Now, I'm down to 138, and I just started hitting the weights hard yesterday. I work out in my unfinished basement, with the power rack I had custom welded when I was in high school. Just put a fresh coat of paint on it last week. I like to workout alone, so I can concentrate better.

I'm hoping to pack on 10-15 pounds of muscle during the first 6 weeks (muscle memory better kick in!).

Debbie,

What are your goals? Is it just to lose weight and tone up? If you're going for muscle you're defeating the purpose by lifting a full body 6xs a week because your muscles don't have enough time to recover. Everyone is different but it takes 2-3 days (at least for me) to see gains.

If Stacker doesn't work for you try Nutrex Lipo 6. It rocks!

I have a newbie question don’t hold it against me:

How do I give karma, I have a message:

You have spent 0 of your daily 20 karma allowance for the last 24 hours.

In total you have distributed 0 karma since 10-Apr-2004 and your daily average is 0.00 karma per day. Click here to see your recent karma hits history.

Is there any other way to giving karma then just donating it? Please help, I want to spread some k around!

Worrying about your weight is ok but don't get obsessed by it....muscle weighs more than fat. So as you increase your muscle tone, go more by how your clothes fit instead of the scale. You can also use photographs and measurements to gage your progress.

I would never suggest losing 25 lbs in a few months. It will be hard to maintain that because alot of what you will be losing will be water. You should increase your cardio level and decrease the amount of calories you consume. There is no quick way to lose weight unless you do it in an unhealthy way. Know that if you consume too much in a day your body will store the excess as fat but also if you don't consume enough your body will begin to store it because it is scared you won't feed it. It's a funny thing...but you have to find YOUR balance. I would suggest that you make a point of eating 5-6 small healthy snacks a day.

how about you just eat a solid 3 meals a day chuck out your protein powder theres a bit of money saved already. you cant be any bigger than your genes will allow you anyway not unless you give up and start taking steroids like most average lifters 6 meals a day for me is too much and im over 300 pounds easy too keep real muscle without a huge need for food lift heavier than you ever thought you could then keep pushing yourself forward 20kgs a month trust me when you can military press 110kgs standing up everyone will be watching you.

Hey everyone.

I am 31 yrs old. Been active my whole life. Several sports when I was younger. Jr. High and Sr. High was into baseball, football, wrestling & volleyball. My parents also had me in gymnastics since my sister was into it. Started that back when I was 8. Ended up dropping all sports except gymnastics since I was on the smaller side and competed through high school. Needless to say, never had a problem with my body back then. Eat like a horse, train everyday for 3 to 4 hours. Result: little body fat and very tone.

Those days are long gone. Now I am 5 10 1/2, 210lbs with a gut and hating it. I ended up growing in height and weight since I stopped competing. Was only 5' 5" back then. Have a desk job, which doesn't help. Been lifting weights and using the machines off and on for several years. Nothing too dedicated till about 3 months ago. Enough is enough. Watching what I eat, working out 4 to 5 days a week. Got a buddy from the office who is tired of being fat too.

Learning a lot on the boards. Thanks to all for the posts.

Hey everyone...

I'm 30 years old, and was really into my training from the ages of 23-28... My wife and I had our first son about 20 months ago, and my training really took a back, back, back seat to him...

I'm just now getting back into my workouts, (about 8 weeks in), and am starting to feel pretty good again...

My stats are 6' 220lbs currently... at my peak i was about 215 at about 7% BF... I want to get back to that 7% and try and peak out at 220lbs by the end of 2006...

I look forward to getting some training tips/advice here... I've always been all natural, and have all intentions of keeping it that way...

good to be here...

Hey everyone i'm a 22 year old student in Dallas TX. Ive been training really hard since feb of this year.. ive made alot of progress and am not goign to stop... im 5'11 230 lbs and am looking forward to learning alot from u guys soon.

Heyoh...!

I'm 22 years old and getting ready to finish my last semester in college. I played basketball, golf, and tennis in High School. I really wish I would of started lifting hard at 14 and played football, but I was just way to scrawny then. I started lifting on December 1st 2000. I was 5-10 127 pounds, and I could bench about 115 pounds. Over the course of the next five years I've gained fifty pounds, but I still lack strength and size enormously. Weightlifting has really helped my life. In high school I was very shy and unconfident. When I finally did start dating a girl, after things were over she told her friends that I was a stick. To that day forward I've busted my ass, althought it may not look like that much to get to where I am. Now I'm much more confident at 5-10 177 lbs which may not seem like much to some of you but it has taken work. Looking forward to starting a very mild cycle to try to get up to 5-10 195 lbs 7-8% as my goal!
