I'd like some other people's input on this subject.
So basically I am applying for a supervisor position at my gym - going up against 5-6 other people that also work there. I gave them my resume, which I think was pretty solid for a college student. We also had to type up an essay that had us answer a few questions like What we forsee as being the greatest challenges in being a weightroom supervisor will be, and what we hope to gain from being a weight room supervisor. I also think my essay will be one of the best - I'm naturally a decent writer and also had an english major help me out.
I think the weeding out process will really come in the interviews. We get interviewed by a panel of the current weight room supervisors and they get to decide (along with the input of my boss who's above the supervisors).
So I want to hear people's tips on a successful interview. And specifically hardball questions they might throw out like "why should I hire you over the 4 people standing outside...?"
