insulin

i started humulin r insulin last week. i'm not diabetic. my plan is 8 units after workout 4x weekly. four weeks on and four weeks off is the cycle i'm planning. last night i read rea's "building the perfect beast". i confess to now being concerned about developing insulin insensitivity after reading in his book. he gives a variety of medications and supplements to decrease the possibility of developing insulin resistance. my question is to those who may have personal experience regarding this cycle. do i need to worry about it with the time frames i've chosen to be on and off? my background is 56 years old, taking 200 mg. test, 200 mg. nandrolone every week year round for the last year with no plan to discontinue. also 250mg. sustanon every three weeks for the past six months. no blood work. what i've read so far on the forum is about administration and dangers of hypoglycemia. for those concerned about hypoglycemic type risks, i've had many years of experience in administration of insulin during my tenure as an r.n., so this isn't my concern at present.

thanks.

also, how do i get the words "all natural" to disappear from underneath my screen name on my posts?

click on profile in upper left hand corner and you can edit everything pertaining to your account including that header.

let me start off by saying that i've always had the opinion that if you are not a serious bb competitor there is no reason one should try out slin. even if you do all the research you want. even i know what i'm doing when running slin and if you don't have your diet timed exactly right, after taking a post workout shot of 8i.u. it will definetly fuck you up. and if you are a little nervous about starting in the least bit, then i would advise not doing it at all. cause it is not fun getting caught out in a public place and go into a hypo. fit from hell and there is no food around. this has happened to me on several occasions and the shit is not fun at all. you start out by feeling somewhat confused and very aggresive and trembling all at the same time and guess what, it becomes even more so. and on another note, at the dosage that you take of aas. it's note worth the trouble. i'm saying this stuff only for your safety bro.

search for acneman's insulin faq. I'll try to find the link for you btu you shold def read it before even thnking about doing insulin.

appreciate all the responses so far. i'm not a serious bb, but very serious about strength training. i've been training for one year and i'm stronger by far than i've ever been in my whole life. my diet is pure as the driven snow and even though my aas doses are low compared to many forum members, i put on 25 pounds within six months of starting aas. i'm 56 years old, so i want to use every tool at my disposal. again, hypoglycemia isn't an issue. i've administered more insulin as an r.n. than any hundred diabetics have in their entire lives. big travis, are you saying my anabolic doses aren't enough to fascilitate the insulin working well? thanks in advance.

thanks, and i will search. if you happen on the link though, would you post it?

also, i have one other question. if insulin is more anabolic than testosterone, as i've been reading, then why aren't more people using it? is it because of the immediate dangers such as insulin shock or the longer term issue of developing insulin resistance? would also appreciate anyone posting about my original question, "do i need to worry about insulin insensitivity at some point if i'm on a 1 month on, 1 month off schedule?" and what about the suggestion in the post about 3 days on, 3 days off?
