Insulin when you are hypoglycemic?

fl8meplz

New member
I know several dudes and dudettes who have put on some serious size running some post workout insulin. I am hypoglycemic - if I eat more than a little carbs my blood sugar crashes hours later resulting in weakness, headaches, etc. So, generally I am on a low carb diet, with some post workout carbs.

I am assuming that I should not consider slin post workout. Or am I wrong here and just need to take in a huge amount of carbs with the slin?

Forgive me if im wrong but hypoglycemia is when you over produce insulin, and therefor have to constantly eat carbs, in order to stay active

If I constantly ate carbs I would be one fat mofo.

It's when you overproduce insulin in response to eating carbs. It's due to insulin insensitivity.

I wouldn't recommend it. The biggest danger of slin usage is going hypoglycemic while on it, and you already have a higher propensity for that. I bet with more insulin going through your body you will be much more apt to go hypo. If I were you I wouldn't risk exacerbating existing problems. Someone else may be more knowledgeable on the issue though.

Thanks for the info. I would appreciate more info from anyone else who is also knowledgeable about slin usage.

You need to speak to your doctor, no good asking people who are well knowledge users of slin, like myself, when your not a normal person as you say. Dont risk it, talk to your doctor, as he'll know u better than anyone on this board. Slin is dangerours, especiall y to a diabetic or hypoglycemic. just a warning.

Thinking of it i knew a guy a couple of years ago who took 2ml of slin in his thigh, he thought iu's were mls, and someone told him do 2 iu to start. He was walking into walls, and raided a cafe eating all the bowls of sugar on the tables. Fuckin lucky to still be alive

What a dumbass. That's why you never do slin until you know exactly what you're doing.

I'm hypoglycemic, and I use 16 units after every workout. You just have to keep the carbs going in for the first 4 hours. I have a Carbo Force before my workout, take my insulin post workout, immediately have another Carbo Force. An hour later I'll have a protein shake and some more carbs. Then I'll take 2 Carbo Force's with me to work just to make sure my sugar doesn't bottom out. Great pumps with slin.

Surgical - do you do this only when bulking? Or does it help you get back into ketosis sooner. Also, would you say that it's use makes you store excessive fat when bulking?

the intention of the above to improve senstivity and reduce insulin production... which should allow you to eat more carbs without getting fat..

Didn't he say he was looking for size though?

macrophage69alpha, I hear ya. I do have r-ala and take 1 pre-workout with 40gms carbs (red 'tater) and tuna. And I take 1 post with 35 gms carbs - dextrose and whey.

As far as effectiveness I saw somewhere on here that someone was using a glucometer and testing themselves to verify that they were increasing thier insulin sensitivity with r-ala. But, as with a couple of other similar post I never saw another post from the guy to follow up. I wonder what happened...

Hell, I may get a glucometer and try ity out. I got enough damn holes in me as it is, what's another hole or two in my fingers..
