INSULIN GURUS, first timer here, please take a look at what I'll be doing...

INSULIN, first timer gettin ready to start, some Q's?

Getting ready to start insulin and want the slin gurus to take a look at what I'll be doing..
I'll be taking Humulin R at 2ius post workout to start, I could take 4iu's to start, but figure there is no rush and would rather be safe. I'll go to 4iu's within a few days of taking it. I'll only take it on the days I lift post workout, which will be 4-5days/wk.

One of my questions is what can I eat right after I inject the slin, I'll be doing it at the gym right after workout. I'll need approx 20 carbs because of the 10gms of carbs/1 unit of slin theory, and probably 50gms of Protein, correct? I also want to throw in some Creatine w/ juice with my post-workout meal, how much creatine would be sufficient, 5gms? I'm also on 600mg/wk of Eq. I've been on cycle for approx 20wks.

8:15am--couple pieces of fruit
8:30 am-- Workout
9:30---2iu's slin
Approx 9:31am--What to eat???(Creatine included?)
11:30am--50gm Protein shake with 15-30gms of carbs and banana
1:30pm--Big Lunch(couple sandwhiches/fruit/yogurt
3:30pm--Protein Shake 50gms and can of tuna
5:30pm--2 Chicken Breast and wild rice
7:30pm--2 turkey burgers/or steak/or chicken or some kind of sandwhich's with vegetable/salad
9:30pm-- 50gm Protein shake w/yogurt/ or banana

Does this look good? If you have any advice, please share.
 
i know it may be taboo to mention Cell Tech on this board, but that will pack you with 75 grams of sugar a little more than you need and 10g of creatine....get the orange flavor and mix it with some vanilla whey and you get a quality post slin drink that you can take right to the gym with you ......even if you wanna cut back on the amount of carbs take only half a serving of cell tech that will give you 32.5 grams of sugar carbs and add some more creatine (powder) in....you may be better off with the extra carbs anyway being post workout especially if you are bulking.....
 
I didn't really read it all...but I can say that you should consume a high GI carbohydrate/protein shake right after your workout, just after (or before) your shot of slin.

i'd take a little whey or liquid aminos with the fruit pre w/o. then at 9:30 take 20 grams of sugar with 20-40 grams whey and some creatine. other than that for a starter dose of only 2iu it looks pretty good. when you start getting into 8-14iu it gets more complicated for sure. for now your looking at getting at least 20 grams carbo's every couple hours or so after the slin. not to difficult.
 
Well here's what I do.....I get done with my workout and drink an Ultar Fuel with 3 scoops of no carb isopure.....100 grams of carbs.....I then take 10 IU's of slin and about 1 hour and 15 minutes I eat 3 servings of brown rice and 8 oz. of chicken.....

hey, he's only using 2iu insulin. so he needs a lot less than such a beefcake as you or me. lol.
 
Is it alot safer to take your shake before you postworkout slin shot? And when I get to 4ius just up the dosages of Dextrose/Protein, correct? No other changes will have to be made?

Cool, I'll add some liquid aminos with the fruit preworkout, so right after my shot I should take 10gms Dextrose/iu of slin, 15gms of Creatine, and 50gms of protein? If I'm taking a shake with all that post-workout, then my next meal at 11:30 should be real food right? Not another protein shake, correct? What would be a good meal to eat at 11:30?

:D....correct....forgot to mention 10 grmas of carbs per IU in the shake.....
 
I personally don't think 2 iu's will do anything...need at least 10..but then again I don't know his bweight..when I started slin in the early 90's there was no internet no advice other than I consulted with a nurse on what diabetics took....I started out with R and I remember that first shot of 2 ius..nothing...next day 4 ius...nothing...next day 6, then 8 then 10 then 15..finally hypo..really it's an individual choice as their are no gurus to your body except you...

i personally take another drink with maltodextrin (same carb formula) and 50 grams of casein (both longer acting carbs/protein) 2 hrs later. most guys eat something....complex carbs and whole food protein. 5 hrs post is when i eat real food and alot of it. i would not take the carbs for slin pre w/o.....that is just me. i'd do it the normal way of 15 minutes post slin. but like JS said, i was cruising at 8-10iu and got all the hunger etc.......then i had to bump it to 12iu to see the effects. i've been there for a while and may bump it to 14iu for the last month of test here even though i am still getting almost the same effect as i was at 12iu....then taper down greatly while i run out the cycle on EQ and winny alone (and GH) the last month. this stuff makes you insulin resistant to any dose after a while, so make sure not to run it too long consecutively. take breaks for sure, like on cutters or on time off etc.
 
A lot of posts seem to be implying this, so I thought I'd clarify for people that haven't used or are starting insulin:

You don't need to be injecting so much insulin that you go hypoglycemic in order to get results. If you're going hypo then I'd argue that you're using too much.

Personally, I've been getting amazing results from just 5 IU Hum-R post workout. Individual mileage may vary.
 
I'll be taking Humulin R and I'm 250lbs right now.
I'll start with 2iu's, see how it feels, then if it goes well I'll use 4iu's and stay there for awhile. So when I'm taking 4iu's, I'll need to take 40gms of Dextrose, 15gms of Creatine, and 50gms of Protein, correct? Should I take this shake right before my slin shot? Does it affect it any different other than you already have the necessary carbs in you, so it would occur to me that this route would be alot safer, correct? Also, I should always keep a snickers bar and a coke nearby right?
Can somebody post an exactly my eating routine/carb intake should look like with the times I specified and with the amount I'm taking? Thanks.
 
for the love of god.
-~15 minutes post shot of slin=1iu slin to 10 grams carbs (sugar) with ~40 grams whey, and some creatine.
-2hrs post shot of slin=~10 grams carbs per iu slin used earlier, but in complex form (or maltodextrin) with ~40 grams of protein
-5-6hrs post=whole food meal, i go pigout...some eat clean. really doesn't matter much at this point, but try and get some decent carbs if possible.
-rest of feedings do as you please.
