Insomnia sucks.

I'm talking about real insomnia. If anyone else who suffers from it has any suggestions (excluding sex ,since that is not an option at the moment) on how to deal with it please speak up. I've been struggling with it on and off for almost 10 years now and I'm tired of it (no pun intended).
 
Sorry to hear that. Reading in bed always makes me sleepy. Or usually. So does having a glass of wine before bed, or something of the like. If you are really having trouble that is.
 
Red wine works sometimes, but on nights like tonight it's a no go. I've been doing push ups for the last 20 minutes to keep myself entertained. :(
 
I've only had it sporadically and it's usually the result of women problems. I'm lucky that I don't get sick as often as most and I never get headaches.
 
i have awful insomnia. docs gave me all sorts of sleeping meds but none worked. now i take 3 tynenol simply sleep and a glass of wine and im good to go.

I suffer with it too ... on and off. It a real pain in the ass!
 
bro its stress. I have it often aswell. I have friends who will go bankrupt and they will have a peaceful night sleep. Me if i get in a fight with my girl i wont sleep for 3 nights lol. What seems to work for me is a joint about 1hr before bed and some tylenol pm.

I get it on and off,and I would smoke weed if I had it,or I would pop pain pills in excess till I got sleep and passed out,it sucks but when you go 2 weeks like 2hrs of sleep a night you do anything you can
 
Concord with me it's not stress. My brain just refuses to shut down. Hypnotherapy didn't seem to do me any good, sleeping pills are not an option and reading just gets my brain going even more. :( After a night of only 2.5 hours of sleep I'm going to be one cranky bitch at work today.
 
I have the same problem. I have had it since I was about 14. I can't get to sleep. I will just sit there, wide awake, staring at the ceiling or watching bullshit on TV. Right now I am taking Valerian Root and 3mgs of Melatonin and that seems to help a bit, but I am sure in a month it won't do shit for me. I think I am going to have to scare up a bag of indica pretty soon.
