Injection Question.

Yesterday I hit my left glute with 23 1.5. Of course aspirating was a little trickier than my other side but I pulled back and saw a small bubble so I wnet ahead wt h 1.5 cc of oil based. Once I took the syringe out I pulled back on the plunger and saw a little blood in the syringe. Did I just inject into vein and waste the stuff. It started hurting after the shoot pretty bad and still hurts 24 hours later. Im hoping I just went through a vein or something. I can deal with the pain as long as it will go away but not wasting gear. I thought if you see an air bubble you were set. Thanks for any input guys.

You are lucky! Most people see a little blood on the pin after they extract. But, with me, I bleed like a stuck pig when I pull out the pin. Don't quite know why. The doc insured me this isn't such a bad thing though. Helps reduce infection potentials. None the less, sound like you did things right. Try rubbing with a wrm rag for awhile to help reduce pain. Heating pads on low help too. Better yet, have your lady rub!!!!!!!

nomad - you're good bro. no worries. i bleed sometimes too after i pull the pin out.. you might have moved the pin around and hurt your muscle.. i've done that before.. and its sore forever

just rub it, and/or hot compress it and maybe take some ibuprofen.

If you can, switch to 25g pin. Its takes a bit longer to inject but you will rarely get any bleeding.

your ok bro, if anything you may have nicked a vein , or not, somtimes i have a little blood after as well. but being as how you said it hurts, if it hurts more then usual i would say you knicked one, no worries though, it may bruise a bit but it will go away on its own.
