Injection Procedure?

Please tell me if I'm wrong about the procedure for mixing 1cc of enan with 1cc of EQ (both are in bottles):

First I will swab the rubber stopper of the test bottle and insert an 18g needle/syringe downwards and push in about 1cc of air into the bottle.
At this point I will simply draw up 1cc of test and upon completion pull the needle out of the bottle.

this is where i'm not 100% sure...but here's what i think I'm supposed to do:

Then swab the rubber stopper of the EQ bottle. I will then pull the plunger back some more so that I have about 1cc of air along with the 1cc of test in the syringe. Using the same needle I used to pull up the test I will insert the needle downwards into the EQ bottle. At this point I would flip the bottle upside down (so that the test in the syringe is closer to the plunger rather than at the needle end). then inject the amount of air that is available in the syringe (1cc), into the EQ bottle. Then flip the bottle back upright(syringe pointing downwards) and draw up 1cc of EQ.

Then I would remove the syringe, replace the needle with a clean 23g 1" or 25g 1.5" depending on glute or quad injection. I know what to do from this point, with regards to the actual injection, where and how.

I'd really appreciate it if one of you experienced bros on here could just confirm that I've got this right before I do it. Or if I screwed something up, please let me know.

Thanks

Wow, that is a lot of detail...

Not sure what you would be screwing up by doing it your way, but this is what I generally do:

1) Clean both vials and wait a minute for alcohol to evaporate.
2) Inject 1cc of air into vial #1 and then 1cc air into vial #2.
3) Draw 1cc gear from vial #1 and withdraw needle from vial.
4) Make sure not bubbles in syringe (if gear #2 has oil of different density the air can do weird things like get stuck in the middle).
5) Draw 1cc gear from vial #2.
6) Inject...

here's the correct procedure.

1 - Swab bottle 1 stopper.
2 - Push 18g needle in and inject 1cc of air.
3 - Turn bottle upside-down (needle now UP) and draw slightly more than 1cc. Flick to remove bubbles (if any), then push plunger down to 1cc level.
4 - Remove Syringe, draw about 1cc of air with needle UP.
5 - Swab bottle 2 stopper.
6 - Push 18g needle in (change needle if contamination is a worry) and inject 1cc of air (keep needle UP).
7 - Withdraw 1cc of EQ (don't overdraw, since mixing will cause contamination if excess is returned to bottle).
8 - Withdraw needle, flick bubbles to top (needle UP), and replace 18g with 21g (or your preference).
9 - Remove shield from 21g (needle UP), flick syringe again, push until small bead of oil just trickles down side of needle.
10 - Swab injection site, inject, go train, get big.

Hope this helps!

thanks thx and Dr M. I was definitely making it sound more complicated than it appears to be.

Dr. M, couple of questions on your procedure.
6 - would you recommend changing needles?

and when the volume of EQ depletes in the bottle, do you just make it a point to not insert the needle all the way so that the tip is submerged in the oil? being that it is upside down.

having a background in analytical biochemistry and being versed in cell culture techniques where slight bits of contamination can ruin experiments and controls, there's a big part of me which says "change the needle, or it'll cause cross-contamination".

However, if you're stacking the two together in a cycle, and you're not terminating one before the other, then what's the problem with contamination? The small amount of X in Y isn't going to be relevant when you compare hundreds of milligrams being administered with each shot... not a big deal.

I'd definitely switch between something like deca (detectable >18months) and test prop though, or use the test prop as the first vial and deca as the second, so you don't contaminate a short-lived compound with something that's extremely detectable if you're going to be tested... I guess I don't know the difference between 'paranoid' and 'not paranoid enough'... :D

And yes, once the fluid level drops, you need to drop the needle below the surface to ensure that you don't just suck air. If it's a really tough draw - even through a cannon - then clamp it gently in a vise or something similar so you can draw with both hands, instead of torquing the ever-living shit out of your one forearm/hand. Never had to do this personally, but I can definitely see it working. This would also allow you more precise control of the needle's depth, I figure...

Thanks GG... karma to you!

With some medically-related training (they give us a hell of a background in biochemistry - there's not a lot I don't know about the human body, or at least don't know how to find very quickly in the literature), I like to help bros like Bab who are basically right on track but are asking for a second opinion. It's a safety thing.

Also, Bab has been very good to me ever since I've come to this board, has placed some very good faith in me based on nothing more than my word of honour, and I believe that his kind of camaraderie deserves more than a "hey, uh, looks good... sorta."

I enjoy your posts as well - I find many of them very interesting and informative, especially since our backgrounds are similar but still very different in certain areas of specialization.

You're the man Dr. M, once again, thank you for your time and wisdom. After many many hours of research and studying, I'm finally ready for cycle #2. I've got everything on hand, EVERYTHING and will start in the next week or two (just need my lower back to get to about 95%).

Thanks buddy... least I could do for a bro who's been so good to me.

And hey - aren't we all here to ensure each other's health and safety? Couldn't have you injecting unsafely, could we? :)

Hope things work out for you amigo... you definitely deserve it!

Karma to ya!
