Injection Pain Advice (Please)

I injected 1ml of omnadren 250 into my thigh witch I have done a hundred times before,But for some reason I have alot of pain this time but the weird thing is the pain is not at the injection site but further down my leg just above my knee ( there is some swelling and redness as well )

Any advice or thoughts on what would cause this normally it is confined to the injection site but this time there is no redness or pain or swelling at the site just further down.

Odd that its in a different place. i'd give it time if it's still like that by monday next week i'd get it checked out.. The first time i shot in my quad my leg swelled up around my knee too and was red.. semi painful but 5 days later it was all better, just had to walk around with a limp which sucked!

I just did a quad injection last week and got some pain right above my knee. It never swelled or turned red just sore to the touch. It went away after a couple day and it's fine now. Not sure why it would happen.

I ran into the same thing not too long ago, I injected lower than usual close to my knee on the outer side of my leg. It swelled up, got red and very sore the next day. It went away in about 3 days. If I rubbed it, it got worse. Just leave it alone for a few days it should go away as long as its not infected.

But mine is sore about 4-5 inches away from the injection site just above my knee

I doubt you hit a nerve. You would know it. It would hurt like a motherfucker. Possible you injected close to the nerve and the expansion of the muscle pinched the nerve and cuased the pain, but I can promise you did not hit a nerve.

I think that sometimes the injection can work itself down outside the muscles between the muscle and adipose tissue. There are areas called compartments, made up of connective tissue, that divide parts of your body. Maybe the injection finds its way into the compartment and gravity pulls it down. I have had the same thing before, and the pain is always below the injection site in the direction gravity would pull it down.

Yea I've had knots end up being a few inches away from where I pinned all the time. You should be ok as long as it doenst look like bacteria buildup.

Well guys did the injection on Tues I think. Its saturday now and the pain has almost completely gone.I agree that the oil travelled.

I agree. I have hit a nerve before and you will know about it straight away...and for a long time after too. Trust me...you dont want to experience this pain.

Well, I remembered this post after this Friday. I hit my quad and there was a bit more pain than I am used to as I kept going deeper. I too had some pain for a day or 2 about 6 inches lower than the injection site and about an inch or so in (so above my knee like others have said). Odd that many experienced this within the week.

Usually when I shoot in my glutes, I actually get soreness in my legs a day later. It's wierd.
