injecting HCG

From what i understand HCG can be injected either into muscle or fat. So would injecting HCG into the glutes with 1" pins be okay? The 1" pins may not be long enough to get deep into the muscle but it shouldnt matter since HCG can also be injected in the fat. Am i right or would the HCG be less effective shooting it this way.

Yes, that should be fine.

Either way is fine. Actually sub-q has a slightly faster rate of absorbtion if I recall correctly...

Definitely sub-q. The absorbtion rate is much better and release is spread more evenly over time.

all the manufactures recommend IM injection, and most every fertility doc I have ever heard says to do it IM.

What is the scientific reasoning behind this? I'd like to know since I have had the opposite understanding for quite some time.

Manufactures recommend:
Profasi HPR (pure hCG) subcutaneous injection
Pregnyl® (hCG) intramuscular injection
A.P.L.R (hCG) intramuscular injection

Certain manufactures recommend different injection methods.

In the 3 studies above, they yeilded very similar results.
