Inject gone wrong, need some help...

Hi guys,

I'm on a Bold/test cycle and am into week 6. All previous injects have gone without problem however today something went wrong.
My girlfriend usually does the IM inject into my glute, but today she didn't notice that the needle was only a 16mm long one so far from good enough for intramuscular injection... Don't understand how such a short needle got in with my batch of other needles since I purchased the entire batch at a pharmacy. Guess the guy f**** up...

Anyway, the result is that halfway through my bold inject (2.6ml total) I started noticing a burning sensation. We decided to push on and inject all the way and on retracting the needle noticed it was too short.

The result now is that there is a hard spot in the glute and the burning sensation flares up now and again...

So the questions I have are:
- Is there any likelyhood of this turning into an abces? We observed our usual protocol of desinfection of course and so far this had not been a problem... as long as the needle was in the muscle...

- What will the reabsorption rate be of the bold that is now trapped? Will this affect me in the long term if the oil has been trapped in fat? Or will reabsorption actually occur quicker if it has not been injected into a fatty layer?

- Will I need to inject with additional bold to keep blood-levels as stable as possible?

- How come the first half of the injection went fine? I don't carry much fat on the glute so I guess the first part of the injection still got into the muscle and only the second half overflowed subcutaneously??

My question to you is if you knew the needle was not as long as the others why did you use it?
Why didn't you just swap out the pins?
Why in the hell is your girls stabin you? Just do it yourself!
The are easy to change even when the barrel is full of juice...

If you injected into fat, absorption will be slower than usual. The knot is what you get for being carelss. Will it turn into an absess. Doubt it. Put heating pad on it for a couple of hours and hope it gets absorbed. Should you take another shot? If it didn't go into the muscle than yes probably.
Their was not enough needle to go deep enough into the muscle to keep all of in the muscle I would guess...
If it looks like it is going to go bad, then change directions. I have had a pin halfway in my glut and if it starts to hurt than take it out don't just shove it further in! The pain or burning was probably from the rubing alcohal that didn't dry enough. When I am in a hurry this happens to me and it sucks becuase it really burns bad!

yep... i agree! and it sounds like you have an "egg". you should be fine. no need for another shot

use a heating pad/hot bath and massage it a few times, that should take care of it. if it keeps getting worse, hot, painful then you should see a doc.

I did as instructed (even went to the sauna for added heat ) and this morning there is no more lump to be found. There is no real soreness or anything so I guess it worked.

As for using the shorter needle: we didn't notice it until after we had pulled it out and I had not looked at the needle myself prior to injection. My girlfriend has given me about 10 shots so far so I assumed she would've noticed there being a shorter needle but apparantly she did not.
In her defense, she had no reason to assume there would be a shorter needle in the bunch of needles we got from the pharmacy and after checking it was the only shorter needle in the stack so I guess it was one that got misplaced at the pharmacy...

yeah but i would still smack her around a little bit just to make sure it doesnt happen again. you never can be too careful.
