infection on a quad shot? help

did my first quad shot, thought it went pretty smoothly. it was a little sore the day after, but the 2nd night i woke up in utter pain. i have a pretty high threshold of pain , but this was rediculous. i call in to work, cause i cannot walk properly, the site is pinkish like someone thumped it. ive been taking aleve to help swelling and wrapped it with a heating pad. the pain seems to have subsided a bit. now im wondering if i did not go deep enough? injection procedure was not spot on? did i waste the shot? btw it was t200. gains have been great.


anyone with similar experiences...

DO NOT USE HEAT!!!......and its a good chance you didnt go deep enough and went SQ...ice it and try to get some medrol dosepak

it was 25g 1". i dont have huge legs

Also, even with small legs, 1 inch will not do it unless you are skin and bones!

If it is Broval T200, you could have an infection. Actually, you could get an infection from anything, but BROVAL is known for that!

i had that happen to me when i shot some ba labs prop...my doc said i didnt go deep enough and may have ended up shooting it SQ...i couldn't walk for a week and it was hot to the touch so it did get infected...so he put me on the medrol and it cleared it up

so would 1 1/2" 23g be better for quad shots? it was about 3 in. above my knee on my right leg, outter side. i contracted to make sure where meat was, then relaxed for the shot. yeah it was brovel enanthate. 1" seems fine on my delts. i think i'll stick to that, or maybe try the 1.5" in my quads. it was hot to the touch, now it has dissapated. did i loose that shot or did my body accept it?

this is absolutely not true!

Many people frequently shoot with 5/8 pins in their quads as long as you stick to 1cc at a time. 1" should be fine even with 2-3cc's.

3" above the knee is pretty low down on the leg for shooting, you might try to bring it up a few inches, i find that the higher up on the quad the less pain.

i checked it today after work and it has turned more pink...it is hot to the touch..damn i got an infection. its not unbearable like before, i am able to walk fine..should i just tough it out? i gotta skip legs until this subsides...

if its hot to the touch and pink in color and still hurting you need to see a doctor and get on some antibiotics

swelling is down. almost gone. i iced it when i took a nap a few hrs ago...it made a big difference...if it does get worse, ill shoot for the antibiotics...i might have some augmentin around somewhere, but ill leave that to the md.

i had teh same prob in my glute 2x this month. i got keflex, an antibiotic and in days it vanished.

btw: i used brovels products more than once and had no prob? i know they have a "dirty" reputation but the norandren and teh T200 were both good to me actualy 15lbs worth of good!

Brovel T-2

I've used Brovel T-2 quite a few times and have found that I have reacted to it several times, wereas I have never reacted to any other product by Brovel or anyone else. I have gotten a painrul red swelling around the injection site much like an infection. I just always figured that it was a little oil that wouldn't dissipate. Ice with intermittant soaks in the tub and it was always gone in 24 hours. I dunno...weird science at that Brovel shack, but it gets ya big for cheap.
