Infection from injection?

My last post was about oil coming out from my delt injection. Anyways, it's a couple days later, and it's still sore which I expect from a sust injection without the normal massaging and stuff. However, everywhere it's sore, it's red - rash like color (no rash though). I didn't use an alcohol wipe, so I'm thinking that it's an infection.

I'm guessing it's not serious as there is no swelling, but could this be strictly from not using an alcohol wipe? I didn't wash the area either which could be it, but I was using a new needle and shooting from a rediject.

why wouldnt u wash and use a wipe though???? ur prolly alright but you should know if something is wrong. I get a red bruise type thing from fina sometimes.

As long as the redness does not enlrage, then you are fine.

Always use alcohol. It is your best friend.

Alright thanks. I didn't have any more alcohol wipes and the stores were closed, so I decided to shoot.

In the future, if I don't have wipes on me, would it be okay to simply wash the area with an anti bacterial soap? Obviously this is better than nothing, but is it close to the effectiveness of using alcohol?

dude, alcohol costs like a buck, and I'm sure the cotton swabs aren't that much more.

Naw, Ive been like that for 5 days now. It dont hurt, just looks awful. Itll pass It was a vessel bleeding under the skin from a rogue 23g needle shot.

I can't believe how many times i have heard this-It would seem your health would be important, its your body if you wanna take chances like that then FINE! I always make sure i have everything,and i mean EVERYTHING on hand.

Still its only one day-i'm not preaching but i would've waited until the next day,glad you didn't get an infection.
