Increased vascularity at a high bf %?

New member
I am in the middle of my bulk (natural) and my veins are fading away. I don't use creatine (yeah, it's illegal here) and I need something to make my muscles look much fuller because I am really pissed off at this. Perhaps niacin is the answer? I already drink 2L water daily. I know I have to decrease my bodyfat, but I am only in week 4. (8 to go !!). I bulk clean with low gi carbs throughout the day and high gi post workout (maltodextrin, whey) so maximum fat gain is not really the problem (well, obviously it is, but I am not gaining as much fat as I did when I bulked with MCD and Wendys).
Help out a desperate bro get his veins back up with a fuller look WITHOUT having to quit his bulk!

PS. The veins are still there, but they can only be seen in a mirror with dim light  OR when I flex.

Thanks in advance bros.

well,if you're presently going thru a bulking cycle, the veins will fade away...obviously,your bf% will increase on a "real" bulking phase and vascularity is an afterthought.the good news is,when you will begin to cut and eat less starchy carbs,milk,etc...the vascularity will increase as it was b4 your bulking cycle.in addition, you could keep some of that vascularity by drinking additionnal h2o and sub some of the starchy carbs with "water-based" carbs...such as broccolli,asparagus,lettuce,etc...keep in mind though, that you will have to eat a ton of this stuff to meet your calorie intake for your bulking cycle;large amounts of broccolli...yummmm...my mouth is watering just thinking about that!!!...NOT.hope this helps...GOOD LUCK.

PS:HAVE YOU POSTED PICS OF YOUR CUTTING CYCLE???:fro:

da big thinka, no i haven't . I went on the cut and got down to 8% but that lasted very little - I felt scrawny and decided to bulk up and lose the abs . Id rather be bigger than have abs...

stiffler, wtf? explain please?

you drink more? do you really think more is necessary? 2L is pretty good IMO so far...I've drank more and didn't notice a difference. Explain?

I drink like 5-6 liters a day, IMO anything less than 1 gallon is not enough. I would think most people would agree.

Hell I piss 2L at one sitting. Try to take in 2-3 gallons a day, especially if your cycling. And try for atleast 1 gal/day if your not on the gear.

And next time you talk about water intake, talk in "gallons" not "Liters" :p LOL

bros, i'm natural, i don't cycle (yet). You are saying that 2L is too little for a natural? All this time I thought it was fine, and I stand by my opinion !
Could you hook me up with some studies showing some difference, or perhaps your own "theories"?

THanks in advance

don't get me wrong, I tend to drink more, but I make it a point to set that as my bare minimum. (ie. I take 8 33cl bottles to school...i usually drink them all, but on a bad day, Ill drink 4). Now, is there anything DETRIMENTAL about it? Perhaps it is not optimal, but is there anything detrimental? If not optimal, why not? What will it be hindering? Where do you get the 6Liters opinion from? Is this just a gut feeling? Please, answer the questions in more than a one liner fashion.

um , excuse my ignorance, but wtf is a gallon? you americans have to break away from that lbs, ozs, miles and gallons crap. it confuses us all ! why do you make it a point to be different than the rest of the world?!

why do we have to explain to a mod on elitefitness that water is essential to a healthy lifestyle?....gallon=3.8L....want me to post a pic of 12-16 glasses of water for you?

LMAO, come on now give the guy a break.
I'm not sure of any studys but think about it the recomended water intake for the average joe is 8 glasses, 2litres, just to be healthy now being a bodybuilder you are way above average and require much more than the normal human in everything, water, nutrients. ect. So........double up on the water;)

Bros, no need to preach on its importance - I know it's importance which is why I try to drink an optimal amount. However, if you read my question, I am wondering if it would be detrimental.
BTW, besides the 8 33cl bottles from school, I get home and drink more.

As a matter of fact, my dad is worldwide president of Danone, which owns Evian. His name is Pedro Medina.
I am guaranteed all the water I need bros. I go through a total of 3 six packs of water (33cl each bottle) on a day where I reach my water goal. That equates to over 6L throughout the whole day. I am a big fan of water and I most certainly do know the importance of the water.

Now, can anyone give me a better answer? Again, I KNOW the damn importance of water - no need to attempt to ridicule me - you just ridicule yourself when you skim over my question and answer something I obviously already know the answer to. I want to know if there is anything detrimental about drinking only 2L water per day.

You see, the reason I said I drink 2L of water per day is because we just got back from vacations and the house is empty except for basic supplies like meat rice some veggies and 3 bottles of water. We are a family of 6 so I cannot be a hog with it. I want to know if there is anything detrimental to this - I have missed my water intake goal for the last 3 days. We are all jetlagged as shit and the workers of the supermarket are on strike due to some taxation crap. It seems everything is on strike here in france.

Because of this, I ask, have you guys noticed any difference when this happened to you? Is it really that detrimental? I understand it is not optimal, but is it detrimental? How much so, and why?

Interesting post, but to answer your question, which I remember something to be how to increase vacularity.

In your situation it sounds like you will need to drop bf to reach that goal, you have conflicting goals, I have the same problem.:(
