I was in the gym the yesterday and i got speaking to a powerlifter and a weightlifter saying how much they could do etc. Then they asked me and i said i prefer bodybuilding a lot more and then we got on too the subject of commitment etc. These guys said pwrlft & wghtlftng were much harder and required more determination and the excercises are harder. I said about dieting for contests and how hard it is to be on a diet and train as well the other guy then said that bodybuilding is all about (then he just moved his arms up and down in a sarcastic way.) The pwrlftr even said he would beat any bb in a lift then i metined dorian and he shut up. This really fuckin pissed me off and i think weight and power lifters are fat little shits!!!!!!!!
In my opion bb is the most rewarding but most commiting sport with diet and training. In w&p lifting there is no measure of how hard you have worked but bodybuilding there is dieting, carb loading, training and intensety.

ahh...just ignore them. They're jealous 'cause they don't have our washboard abs and we get more pussy than them! :D Oh, also, some BBs are strong as shit. How about Dorian Yates? Ever seen his tape, "Blood & Guts"? Damn, he could break average guy's ass with his one arm behind his back.

I gotta admit, I always let out a litte schoolgirl giggle (tee-hee!) when I see some musclebound bodybuilder doing his curls with little 25 pound weights, or really "feeling the burn" with 50 pound dumbells on the dumbell press. Or doing (ahaha) triceps kickbacks.
Oh man... That's funny shit. I like their little fruity concentration crunches, too.

_But_ I do concede that not all of them are like that, and it still takes a hell of a lot more discipline than I've got to get to 4-5% bodyfat (even if they are jacked up on obscene amounts of juice :).

But you gotta admit, _some_ of those guys are just big musclebound sissies.

I'm not a bb'er, but have done both powerlifting and oly lifting over the years, as well as trained for field events. I've trained hard for all this stuff, but my impression is that none of it is as hard as serious bodybuilding. You bb'ers are psycho.

You mentioned that the powerlifter said he could beat any bodybuilder in a lift. He may be right. I doubt Dorian has ever done a full squat with over 1000 lbs. or benched over 700. I've also never heard of a bodybuilder deadlifting 900 either.

this argument is immaterial. its the commitment to the job not the actual job itself that make it tough.

and what about the lard arse couch potatoes? lifters shouldnt argue amongst themselves
