if that thing has caller ID I want it, I need to filter my calls, you know...

It does and you can block members if you like, its very simple and user friendly.
Your phone will ring and it will say which member is calling you and you can choose to not answer or block them or set yourself as offline or not available.
THere are security features in the software for those who prefer not to voicechat with everyone or those afraid of talking on the phone

This technology is EVIL!!!!! imagine what will happen when it falls in the wrong hands: Coldblue calling everybody asking for K, needto organizing a confcall to discuss his issues with Angel, Hammy having a K meeting with the stakeholders, Sorearms and myself on the phone with Affirmative Action, Perk having multi-tranny phone-sechs!

Remember you can set it up so people can block others or simply not pick up. It clearly states who is calling you just like a personal message.
The only difference in the communication medium is that instead of typing, you are talking.
All of those things you listed can be done currently on PMs or Instant messaging, but for those who like to take a break from typing and talk then its no different.
I tell you, needto comes off much better on voice, I always imagined him stuttering in real life after reading his posts.

Its much simpler than you think, in addition, you can skype with family members or whoever has a computer, the internet and a gamer headset to virtually eliminate long distance phone calls.

Remember, there have been people here who have made threads saying they had a 2000$ phonebill calling Bigmann245 for example.
This has saved me tens of thousands of dollars in international calling and integrating here on EF can help teach people how to save lots of money and make it very convenient for other members to chat and communicate.

Its free for George to setup and you can opt out

as a moderator you could not block anyone from skyping with you, you'd have to take the calls, its your solemn duty

Yes with skype integrated in EF, people can skype with other members easily.
There is skype voicemail too. Its just a software that allows to voicechat through the internet.

You can call cellphones and landlines too with it with skypeout, costs 10$ for 120 minutes.

And you can integrate with your existing landline phone and either use a gamer head set or a cordless phone

One cordless phone that will allow you to call like regular or call through skype for free.

The skype is also not able to be wiretapped either for those worried about the current controversy of wiretapping US citizens.

All of that would be in your profile page like it says send a private message or email to a member, well it can say contact them on skype.

Itd be pretty cool option and super easy for them to set up.

People would have to download skype but it takes a few seconds to setup from www.skype.com
SO i could use the cordless phone that i have right now????
how much would this cost george???

No, thats a dual use cordless phone that you connect to both your computer and your phone line so you can toggle between the phone services. Its a special phone.
You can use a gamer headset (headphones and mic) and plug into your computer to talk.
My pocketpc/cellphone has a wifi internal modem so I have a dual use cellphone and skype internet calling.
So when I talk to Bubbles its like Im walking around talking on my cellphone, only free.
The easiest, cheapest way would be a gamer headset that plugs into computer for people. The cordless phone option would be for someone that likes to talk on the phone once they get more contacts online. Rather than sit at the computer with headset on, they could wander with a cordless phone and use the internet for long distance calling. Plus you can create multiple accounts and protect privacy with this

Skype is a free technology, it would not cost George anything. I have included a link for him to download it and install. When vbulletin 4.0 comes out and they upgrade it will automatically be in it.

This would really be something that can be done in a few minutes on his end and its free
