There's a name for this but it escapes me right now, North Fork bank was getting a lot of these too.

If you get an email from what SEEMS like PAYPAL saying:

The security questions and answers for your PayPal account were changed on March. 1, 2006. If you did not authorize this change, please contact us immediately using this link :

https://www.paypal.com/us/contact-us

Don't enter your info - it's a referring site to here looking to get your log in info.

I get a ton of emails from Paypal and eBay daily. Disregard them all. If eBay sends you a message, it'll be in your 'My eBay' page, everything else is not legit.

You're geeky like me, many people don't know that and for those that don't know BANKS get spoofed like this too.

Paypal sucks now.

That's all they're known for these days is unsecure business and constant scams that they have yet to put a lid on. I had to cancel one of my credit cards last year because someone got the number, and all the evidence pointed towards a Paypal breach of security. I ignore every unsolicited bit I get from Paypal.

WOW.

Mr. X said something similiar - I rarely use it but I've never had an issue and never get emails from them.

i can't believe people still fall for the paypal and ebay things. I get TONS of them a day. you only have to hold your mouse over the link to see that its not sending you to the actual site anyway, even if you did think they really emailed you.

i get 2-3 of those shitty emails a day :(

thanks for lookin out for us velvett

I've been getting these for ages. Whenever I go to paypal, it's through the link in my favourites, or through Google.

Indeed. Always verify that the destination and the visible text match before considering whether to click on an unsolicited link.

same old scam got them months ago, simpley look for the lock at bottom of page if it aint there its bullshit if you got service pack 2 and you click link it wont let you go there..I get them all the time. The lock at bottom you click will tell you if its the right site or not...The new scam is your account was used by someone else please click here..

I'd love to catch these turds and make them pay. They would be crying for their mommas after I got done with them.

its called phishing.. and they are coming up with eleborate msgs now to try and trick you.. ie a fake paypal email saying you bought this item.. if anyone would like to see it pm me your email.. prob. the best phishing page i've ever seen.

I've gotten this a couple times and have reported to PayPal, friggin scammers.

I would advise to only put up your info if you plan on using it, if you use if often, beware...
