I think you definately pulled a muscle (pulled muscle=minute tear). Muscles are weakest down in that area.....it's even possible to push part of an intestine down through there......but he checked under there for that I'm sure......which leaves one option I know of....the muscle did spread or tear down there. It should go away.
In a 600lb inverted leg press.....I breathed wrong once & it opened (tore) the muslce between my lower right rib that holds the ribs in place. Did not feel like a tear.....feels more like a punchered lung....but it wasn't.
