You know, it's interesting... when I had my last psych eval in connection with this custody garbage the doc concluded that based on my MMRP (or whatever the fuck it is) I am narcisisstic. I was irritated by that. I complained to the Old Grump, "Dammit - damn straight I am BEYOND proud of all that I have accomplished in spite of all the shit that life has handed me. I've been putting myself down since I was old enough to remember (thanx mom!) but now, because I've finally UNLEARNED that behavior and pat myself on the fucking back for all I've done with my life when most others would have just eaten a bullet or just sent up a red flag from the bottom of a bottle I should be ASHAMED?... WTF is this about narcissism?!!?"
The Old Grump laughed at me - "Baby you are THE EPITOMY of narcissism. Did you hear ME say that this was a BAD THING?!"

I know my limitations. I don't ask anything or anyone that I wouldn't expect of myself. And I try to uplift everyone every chance I get but I will be a motherfucker if I will feel that I should apologize or be made for feel shame for being proud of myself and my accomplishments!

I dont think you're narcicistic or conceited...any person who has accomplished half of what you and the old grump have accomplished would feel proud as well

remember that narcissism is a personality style and it runs along a continuum.
healthy narcissism is essential for self preservation and it is a necessary
component of assertion, success and drive. on the other end of the spectrum
is malignant narcissism, this is commonly referred to as narcissistic
personality disorder. folks with NPD are stuck in an infantile developmental
stage. these types are completely self absorbed and do not have the ability
to love. like the psychopath, they're devoid of empathy. really about the
only thing that distinguishes the narcissist from the psychopath is impulsively.
the psychopath is far more impulsive than the NPD.
i doubt seriously that you are NPD lol. you may have some traits, but i can't
believe that you are NPD. i have spotted a few full blown examples on ef.
one of them is someone you brought to my attention in a pm.
