i've thought about it and i just did research and read these forums to learn that it was a terrible idea.
I know guys with good physiches, you know the type of guys who were real popular in school, always good at sports, well they followed the trend and took steroids, dianabol infact(well it's the cheapest) they went beefy! now they're fat and bloated! (1 guy's now called fat arse)
you might not be training hard enough - since your british, take some pro plus (caffeine) before you work out and tear the gym up! don't stop until you physically can't do anymore - get a gym buddy and get motivated.
you're not eating nearly enough to get stocky - as a rule you should eat 1g of protein for each pound of bodyweight, you're 150lb and there's about 25g of protein in a tin of tuna, that's at least 6 tins of tuna you need to eat - that should give you an idea of how much you do actually need to eat!! some big guys even each 2gs of protein for each pound of body weight!
at your age your full of natural testosterone (i.e steroids..?) your just missing certain things to actually get your muscles growing, eat, train, sleep (8 hours plus) you'll literally explode as I have.
I'm 18, been training for a year now, but I was fat and that time includes getting rid of that fat, i'm as wide and my biceps are bigger than any of the guys i know who were on steroids. you just need to get yourself a bodybuildin mag, mens health or muscle and fitness (etc) you'll learn loads and educating yourself on how to get big will... er get you big
