Dude, if you have a CompUSA in your area, look for their sales papers. I just bought a 30 inch HDTV for $499 three weeks ago. I am using that for my monitor in the guest bedroom now.

I would pony up for something in the $375-400 range. I never really gave LCD tv's much thought until I looked at one last week. Those things are really sharp! I would love to have a 30" LCD TV for the bedroom.

Hell yeah. Brand new, in the box.

Took it out, mounted it on the wall and the fucker works awesome. Get a wireless keyboard and mouse and you can lay on the bed propped up typing away and not squinting at all. Plus with that size you can have several "regular" size screens open all at once and viewable without having to ALT+Tab or swap over. Just mouse over to the one you want and click.
