with a pushdown, you are using an overhand grip and essentially pushing downwards.
with a pulldown, you are using an underhand grip(as in how you grip a dumbell when you are doing curls). think of it as the eccentric movement of a bicep curl only you have resistance going down instead of up.
then you have your tricep pulldown using the rope, If you have ticeps look in the mirror, youll see the how different grips, (bar, rope, etc.) hit different tricep heads (3)
