Oh btw I'm calling it the "Boyer Coe" workout in honour of fellow Louisianian Boyer Coe, and the amazing mass he showed so young. He did basic movements and slabbed on the muscle, bench nicely over 400lbs at a very young age (under 18)! I'm just going to bench, squat and row very heavy in a maximum load method (MLM) as Boppa calls it. Of course, press could be subbed for bench; deads or gms for squats; and chins for rows.
I shouldn't say westside isn't involved, because it is. When I plateau I plan on adding chains or bands to break over. But the idea would all be on accomodating resistance, not speed work per se. Also, assistance movements are sprinkled all over by assumption.
But it some ways it's like an eastern bloc progression program with the training frequency and focus on waves of intensity in a few critical movements.
But unlike the eastern bloc stuff, and more like westside, the daily progression is up to achievement. Bluntly this allows for any beneficial drug or mood to be maximally utilized; and any illness or incapacity is easily accepted. This is very free, unlike the slavery of the progression programs.
Nothing fancy.
Salt of the earth.
The "Boyer Coe" lol
