Guys, i havent been to EF in about a year i dont think. I used to come here every day back when i was in college because i had so much free time. well, ive been working out still, but i think my motivation is lacking because i havent really switched things up much. im currently doing needsize's 5x5 routine (i couldnt believe how many new versions ive seen of 5x5!).

ive been out of the loop so can someone just give me a link to a thread of a good routine to pack on lean mass? diet is pretty clean, no gear. thanks bros, K for help as always!

by the way, im about 5-10, 170, at about 8%BF. ive been lifting for about 6 or 7 years now. I was about 185 a couple years before i started watching my diet, and would like to get back up to that weight and keep 10-12%BF.

Well, as you've noticed, the 5x5 is rather ubiquitous around here (although I'm not sure "new" is an appropriate word for programs that are variations on the old-school Bill Starr 5x5):

Dual factor theory, some of which is implicitly present in Needsize's routine, should be very well suited to your amount of experience. The madcow 5x5 would be a good choice, although, given your stated goals, DFHT might also be worth a look.

Cynical, yeah i should have meant 'additional' 5X5's compared to when i was really heavy into the boards. when i was a regular, needsize's routine was THE 5x5 that people spoke about when they said 5x5. of course this routine you basically are training body parts once a week, and does not focus as much on the olympic lifts that ive read about with madcows version.

do you think i should go ahead and jump into dual factor theory without at least doing the single factor first? i am an experienced lifter i guess, but ive been lifting each body part only once a week over the past 3 or 4 years. thanks again, karma to you!
