no, they dont, i have no one to help me with this, except other kids in school and they dont know shit, thats why im coming here, i can go to the ymca, but i want to use the equipment i have to the fullest, i dont want to leave the house to work out, unless im running

yes, but its always packed, or closed, its of shitty quality too, just free weights and a few machines, i just want to use what i have in my house now

well you really need a good gym, im sure the gym at your school is better than what you have at home. IMO you need to get a gym. but if you cant deal with what you ahve at home then....what are your goals?

hey bro. welcome to the wonderful world of weight training. you're only 14 bro, that's a very young age to start lifting, so dont jump into all these long drawn out splits and routines that people have posted here, these are not for you. i started messin around in the gym when i was your age. but anyway, what you need to do is start working on your foundation. you need a basic routine to get you started. here is a link to a thread where i recently posted an article by louie simmons about foundation training. read it over and over, and then ask some questions. im not saying that all the exercises that are listed in the article are for you, but what you should mainly concern yourself with is the core lifts.

also, i know you expressed that you really dont want to leave your house to work out, but i would HIGHLY SUGGEST that you go to your local YMCA and lift there. you will gain priceless information from the other people there.

to each is their own, but life isn't perfect. im trying to help you. every gym that you will ever go to the rest of your life is going to stink and smell like shit. there are no short cuts to weight training. there are no short cuts to getting stronger. no short cuts to getting ripped. it all takes time and dedication. the most important thing to do is spend time developing your foundation for a couple years or more and then start tweaking it once you get a feel how things work for you.
