It's the woods in July... the desert in August... then an almost deserted island in September.

If you ever can do the Santa Cruz island camping scene. Come September there usually isn't anyone out there... just maybe you, your friends, and a couple rangers. It's awesome.

Sofa, what part of the mountains are you camping? Yosemite? John Muir? Out of state, or what?

Not even sure what the name is. It's a little mountain lake my girlfriend has been going to since she was a kid. She's from a big family... 8 brothers and sisters... about 14 nieces and nephews... plus miselaneous husbands, wives, cousins, etc... They all get together once a year for their family campout. It's in northern Ca.

I had an exchange student last year... took her to Yosemite. That was a great trip. We busted a gut hiking deep in over the waterfall (Vernal Falls.)
