Everyone knows you destroy a zombie by causing massive trauma to its brain, doesn't matter if it's a bullet or an axe blade.

Since zombies feed on brains, they would likely starve in England.
Then again, they wouldn't actually be on a bulking cycle in the US either.

So both countries would fair pretty well.

If you could kill zombies with good dentistry then the US would win hands down.

Destroyer, if zombies invaded bush would be in air force one touring the country...we'd still have leadership/organization, the citizens will fight off the main wave and survivors would gather...

The U.S. would fare better than the other countries because of the number of armed and willing citizens. It would be a great stress reliever to imagine the face of a boss or ex on a zombie. Some would use it as an excuse to take out an ex or two.

The U.K. may not have too many firearms but swords will do in a pinch. "There can be only one."

it depends on what kind of zombie. are they the shoot in the head/sever the head they be dead type? or are they the heartier, harder to kill zombies like the ones in Return of the living Dead? also, how fast are they, they like 28 days later fast? or are they slow, like the OG Night of the Living Dead? all of this has to be factored in, when battling zombies. personally, i would take the Shawn of the Dead approach and hole up in a pub with my best friend, my girl & my mum.

Depends on when this takes place, in thirty years the US will be a third-world country after massive depression b/c every person lives paycheck to paycheck meaning the consumer is broke. Its already a tenuous grasp one step away from being homeless or maxing out their credit card. Once the crunch happens, the credit cards shut down b/c of the economy and no one can pay their bills.
The workforce is one third retired, less workers meaning more higher wages meaning the elderly cant afford to pay for goods and services on the miniscule social security and the vast majority have not managed to save a penny.
Massive elderly entitlements b/c they vote taxing the hell out of the workers. Companies move to China to escape the tax burden.
All of the US collapses, and then comes..... the zombies. To mop up after chaos has ensued. Elderly population ripe to eat their flesh. Zombies flourish and overpopulate. Move to Mexico and enter South America.

Deathly afraid of water, they are contained to the Americas until a genetic mutation in a sect of the population making them hydrophyllic instead of hydrophobic. Suddenly, the Zombies becomes a global pandemic, able to operate large ships with their new "sea legs wearing sea genes" they cross the ponds in both directions.

First stop they land at Normandy of all places. France immediately surrenders and is eaten or becomes zombies themselves only to move across the English Channel and then eastward expansion takes place. to be cont...

Actually, the more third world the country the better their chances because of the direct correlation with AK-47 armed civilians. The USA is anomalous in this regard, the superpower with a large number of civilian gun owners. However, a zombie epidemic in England would be easy to prevent from spreading due to the fact it's an island and the French would blow the tunnel.
