If you've done it, is it worth it?

I am thinking about hitting the insulin, I am a competitive bb'er. If you have done it is it worth the risk? I tend to be a little hypoglycemic, so I would have to be very careful. What kind of gains have you guys experienced? Does it make a substantial difference?

If you're prone to going hypo you need to use extreme caution. Start off very low. I don't know how prone you are to going hypo, but if you're very prone to it I would not use any 'slin.
 
I love insulin posts. Ran mine for 3 weeks a while back, great results. PM me if you want the full scoop, and ask specific questions in there if you have any, b/c insulin is a pretty broad/technical topic.

Depending on the level you hope to compete at eventually you will need to manipulate more and more aspects of your growth, as I'm sure you have already begun to realize. While I'm not a pro bb, after experiencing the positive anabolic properties of proper insulin use, I can assure you that they all use it heavily. Its too effective to ignore and whats more important is that its effective through a different mechanism than juice. Be safe and be cautious, but understand that it is an extremely effective muscle building tool.
 
i love it.. i really think it enhances recovery to a great extent.

I use it at a very low dose 3-4 ius with my postworkout meal and can really tell a difference in my next workout.. even if its ony a few hours a way..

be safe start slow do your research and follow the guidelines and you can do it very safely.. if your dumb about it we might read about you on cnn so be safe.

what exactly is the reason a BB would take insulin? what is different about insulin from AAS for muscle builidng effects?

i realize insulin is used by diabetics to control blood sugar but what the hell does that have to do with building muscle?

No offense bro, but you've been on the board that long, have over 2K posts and you don't know why slin is so effective??? OK, well slin shuttles carbs and aminos into the muscle cells so that they can be stored as glycogen and muscle tissue respectively. That's the simple version. By using exogenous slin you can supercompensate the muscles to a much greater extent than using your own endogenous slin.

i didn't even know slin and insulin were the same thing. i am learning new things all the time about bodybuilding, and eating, and AAS.

Exactly! I am an ectomorph and gained luv handles...I dont recommend using it unless you are hitting some gh with it...I personally will never use it again...I used humulin N...it is the longer lasting....I eventually got eye floaters from it...those are those little dots you see floating around your eye when you are reading. I am alittle on the hypo side also and almost crashed on it...got really dizzie and started seeing stars...I immediately went to the fridge and drank shitloads of oj and ate a couple of tangy taffey bars...after that scare, I quit...for the next 3 months, every morning, I had to make sure I ate plenty of carbs and sugars otherwise I would get hypo....that was about 7 years ago and dont think I'll do it again. Just be careful bro. :)

Shouldn't have used humulin N. You need to use R or humalog.
 
I'm taking it now with the 6iu's of Jino I'm taking per day. I started with 5ius of slin and have worked my way up to 10iu's. I'm take the "R" one time a day usually in the morning right after my workout with the 3ius of Jino (in different parts of the body). I've only been on it for about a week now...I've used it before and I know to be VERY carful with it.....

The "R" last 6-8 hrs in your body..

I believe the most important things is to make sure you have the necessary carbs in your body and on hand just in case your body can't handle what you've given it.

I wasn't going to use it at first but I figured wtf if I'm going to be taking so much growth it seems like such a waste not to throw 4wks of slin periodically.


31yrs old, 236lbs, 8%bf..5'10"
Current Cycle:
Deca 600mg wk 1-14
Test E 500mg wk 1-14 (anymore and I start holding too much H2O)

Jino 3ius 2x day for another 6 months or so
Slin 10-12ius a day wks 1-4 / 8-11 / 16-19.........or until I fall out

All iteams are subject to change depending on what my body is telling me.
 
Everything that I've read on R says it lasts 4 hours and could last up to 6. But I've never heard 8. Humalog is better since it peaks in 1 hour and lasts for 2, but it's harder to get.
 
i believe that log is too short and thatn the r version is much better .. just my opinion..

i use the r and take my carbs over a longer period of time rather then just one or 2 big shakes...

i am one of the few (i guess) people who do not gain fat while using slin.

Yeah, that was my first and last time using...at the time, I figured that n would be better because of the 12 hour effects and less shooting...however, I didnt realize that I would have to constantly be making sure I was taking in enough calories throughout the day and it was kinda scarey at nightime before I went to bed...I made sure I ate atleast 2000 calories right before I went to sleep...I was always afraid of not waking up. :rolleyes:
 
Thanks for the responses guys! I hit you with the big "K" for your time. I am just kind of torn about using it because I think it can help me take my physique to the next level, but I am just concerned about the risks with me being a little hypoglycemic. I am a pretty conservative user, and a pretty conservative guy in general. I don't know if I can justify using it at the state level. There is a pic of me on my profile from my first show, which was last year. I am only on my second cycle right now. I am serious about my phsyique, but at the same time I realize there are more important things in life. Obviously this is a choice I have to make for myself, I appreciate all the advice and knowledge fellas.
 
I used Humalog before workout a few years ago and did not feel like I got anything from it. Apparently it works for some, but I can only speak for myself.
