What's the difference between an employer not hiring you because you're "over-qualified?" Such as a person with a Masters Degree applying for a Junior Programmer position.
Makes sense. $80,000 to train a guy, who bails as soon as his mid-life crisis is over, and he gets a real job offer in his career. May not be correct in this case - but as a general rule it is. I wouldn't give a f/t job to an ex-CEO to be a junior accountant.
